Need lens recomendations

I've been wondering about the 70D myself. My T2i has lasted longer than any other Rebel I have had, so I'm thinking it might not be long for this world. I was really excited about the 70D but what I'm really after is better high-ISO performance, and I'm not sure if it moved the bar enough to justify pulling the trigger. I'd probably consider the 6D for that amazing high-ISO performance but couldn't bear to part with some of my favorite lenses.

I know what you mean! I love my 17-55 f/2.8 and I really do not want to replace/ start over again so the 70D has my attention. Actually would love to be able to swing it before our Christmas trip, but am very interested in hearing from those who already have this body.

I'm a really big fan of the Rokinon fast primes. I would definitely use the 24mm f/1.4 or the 35mm f/1.4 for parades on a Full Frame camera. I'm not sure if the 24mm f1.4 would be a good choice for APS-C users looking for something wide. Or those unfamiliar with fully manual lenses.

Not wide, but as wide as you can get at F1.4. (At least, without dropping down to m4/3rds.) You can lose a half-stop of light and get a Sigma 20mm F1.8 but supposedly it's not so hot wide open. On the other hand, my favorite dark ride shots from last trip taken with my Vivitar Series 1 (aka Samyang aka Rokinon, etc) 85mm F1.4... so maybe I don't need wide right now.
