DH's company is doing a little shuffling and there are some changes going on which might not be to his benefit. Basically he's the "boss" (job title omitted for anonymity) for the warehouse and truck drivers at a building supply company that just got bought out by a really big building supply company. He does basically many jobs. In his words he supervises the daily operations, dispatching/coordinating the trucks/deliveries, checking the orders to make sure they're correct, pulling orders, loading trucks, delegating tasks, maintaining the maintenance schedules and repairs for the fleet, and the list goes on..
He was a Network Administrator for a few years (10 or so years ago). He has a certificate in graphic design/web design from back when this was the thing to do, but no bachelor's (NOT an option to get one now!)
He's really smart, more than he thinks he is and gives himself credit for. He's a really hard worker, he's reliable, fair, and trustworthy. I'm not just saying this because I'm his wife, either. I would want him working for me.
I'm trying to think of jobs for him that he would be qualified to do, be it a lateral or upward move. Is there a person he can talk to that can help direct him? What kind of jobs/companies need a guy like this?
If he can do something that doesn't entail 50-55+ hours a week and being at work at 5:30 am, thats a big plus.
We also need about $50k a year.
Thank you!!
