I have decided I am going to make my own invitations- this comes after getting a quote for some custom invitations that made me almost fall over.

Any way I am going to use the "envelopment" style be to able to have extra inserts for the dessert party, etc. I want to be able to put some sort of graphic picture on maybe the top of the invitation and the "sticker" that closes it.

The problem? I cannot find anything. I do not want a regular picture or anything too cartoon like. I would like cinderella castle, coach, even something Mickey- my intent is something Disney without it being too in your face. Make sense?

Does anyone know where I could find anything? I have googled everthing I can think of and come up with nothing!! HELP!

Thank You

you can always go on the discreative site, they are great on there! i'll pm you some of the more conservative pics that i have!

Hmmm... I have a few images I've saved during my planning that I will post after work today.

I did the Pocketfolds/Envelopments for my invites and I really love them. I used our monogram to close our invites. I didn't want our guest to rip the invite, so I used Velcro to close them. I used a piece of cardstock w/ our monogram to look like a sticker hold the invite closed.

The DIS Creative board is full of super creative ladies! I used a simple castle graphic on our invitations. It was originally pink, but I needed it to be blue. I posted and minutes later I had the perfect blue castle.

I'll posted some graphics tonight that might help.

Thank you, I appreciate the help! I just looked at your PJ, it is exactly what I was thinking, in fact I ordered samples last night from cardsandpockets.com in blue/white!!

No problem at all! Cards and Pockets were wonderful for us! DF decided to go with white envelopes instead of ivory and they were kind enough to exchange them for us.

Here are a few graphics that aren't overly "cartoonish"...

This is what I've made for our CD favor inserts:

That is a photo I took of SBP and manipulated in MS Digital Image.

This is the castle design that we're using for our invites

And then for the enclosure, we're doing this

I would definitely go talk to the creative board people (if of course you haven't already found what you're looking for). I'm sure they'll be able to find something to make you happy! :thumbsup2

Thank you all I am getting some good ideas, I am going to start playing with them. I will try and post what I come up with as soon as they let me post stuff!?!

Have you ever done any rubber stamping and embossing? There are some real pretty castle stamps and simple Mickey stamps at the craft stores. You could stamp in a clear ink and then emboss the design a shimmery silver color or even the same color as your invitation. You can invest in an embossing tool at Michael's for under $20 with the 40% off coupon. Its not hard to do but I would definetly practice a bunch first.

I do love these castle pics you girls are posting. Where exactly is the DIS creative board?

You all have great ideas! I will be off to Michaels this week! I'll definately post what I come up with!

Thanks for all the help!

Another DIY Bride here ... I used our monogram, but I didn't have a Disney Wedding, just a Disneymoon. I stamped the K in navy and then embossed it.

Any easy way to make the "sticker" for the envelopments is to use the re-positionable Xyron cartridges. I have the 500 which isn't on their website anymore but I know you can still find it at Michael's/Jo Anns/AC Moore.

Feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions.

You may be able to purchase the 500 through an I Remember When consultant. They have a contract with Xyron. I can't remember which ones they carry, but they are generally cheaper than Micheals/AC Moore even with coupons.
