This homebuilding process is very tedious, fun, but tedious.

I'm so excited about your new place!!

Ours is constantly changing with our whim of the moment, btw, but here is what we are doing right now:

Formal Dining:

Living Room (I'm still messing with the ledge shelving and picking up frames when I find them - plan is to have black and white prints we take up there, only one up right now is Winston):

Our drapes shrunk in the wash so we're on the hunt for new ones LOL

Entry way:

Our bedroom (no side tables yet, and the ceiling is blue matched to the bedding = we used the blue in the bathroom):

Breakfast Area:

If you go to www.thenest.com, you can go to the "talk" section and look at people's bios. They usually post a lot of pictures! Especially if you go to the "Our home" section (or something to that effect).

Feralpeg, I used to have the same comforter that your DD does in my bedroom! We just recently remodeled it though.

Aimee- I love the tan and denim combo...did you say those were the curtains you had to get rid of? I think they were so cute.

I'm sure my picture won't help the OP (Spiderman is not the decor of choice for two grown women! ) But it's the only picture I currently have of my house...we just did the twins' room and I thought it came out so cute that I took lots of pictures.

I have that same exact coffee table from pottery barn, except the dog chewed a little of the wood under the table when teething.

The top is a wash and the tiles are hand painted. The blue ones have a Mexican design pressed into them....don't ask how, all I know is I spent many sleepless nights, measuring, using a level, making pencil marks and taping, LOL.

The prints are from Ireland, Irish cottage/countryside, Cliffs of Moher, Bushmills, and Sleah Head hanging about. Still searching for the perfect afordable pub table and Guinness clock!

I put the white sheers up in the Spring/Summer, which I hemmed, just hung them up to see what they'd look like first.

We only have 4 of our rooms actually decorated so far. I still have to finish my bedroom. Anyway, here they are.


DS(4) Buzz Room. I painted the walls blue, ceiling dark blue, baseboards red, closet red. outlets and light covers green. I apinted the life size Buzz, and the little green men too.

Here is DS(16mos) Jungle Room. This was actually the first room I had ever done. The only thing I have left to do in this room is replace the carpet.

I love seeing everyone's photos! Thanks for sharing! It's nice to see the gorgeous wall colors. I know it can be intimidating to paint a wall dark colors. We are waiting for our new house to be built, and I'm in the planning stages as well! I've never had 4,000+ sf to decorate, so I'm struggling a little! If you know any great websites to visit, please post them!! Thanks!

andromedaslove...I love your Buzz murals! I have been thinking of doing the same for my dd's playroom (Princess theme!). Did you use a projector? Where did you find your design? I would love to hear details!

I'm glad I'm not the only person with Disney rooms! I'll be having another Mickey kitchen, a Princess playroom, a Fantasia/castle/Tinkerbell scrapbook room, a Tinker Bell garden laundry room, and any other room I can sneak it in! Disney just makes me happy!

here is the family room we just redid. I have to take a new picture; after this was taken we painted it a deeper gold and had window treatment installed, drapery panels on thick wooden rods.
