I want to do my online check-in tomorrow or the next day and figured I'd take a shot at room requests. I've read a few threads recently that said some folks had a 1BR at Kidani, standard view but ended up with a pretty decent view of the savannah. I made note of a few I saw already but let me know!!

You can't make requests on online check-in, you have to contact member services by phone or e-mail.

There is no way to make a request for DVC units when you do online check in. You can only do that through calling member services. Since you are only 10 days out, I feel it is a bit late to make requests at MS anyway. We always make our requests at the time of booking.

When I did on-line check-in in March for SSR there was a block at the end for "Special Requests." I put 'The Springs' in there and it was granted. Maybe that was just luck then.

Online check in was made for Disney's cash reservations, not the DVC. DVC uses the product to reduce Front Desk costs by putting the room packet and keys together the night before arrival and not giving members a reason to chat and make room requests with the Front Desk CM.

Sometimes the line is longer using online check in than the regular line. Ether way you should make your requests with MS.
