We will be at Animal Kingdom on a night that they are open 3 hours later. We will leave the park before the offical closing to go to Boma. By the time we return we will be into 1 hour into the extra 3. Will we still be able to get in the park?

Also, does it cost anything to stay 3 hours late?

Extra magic hours are for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. If you are staying at a resort, then you will need to get a wristband in AK, they will require you to show your resort id and they start handing them out about 2 hours before EMH begins. You will be able to enter the park after eating at Boma. You will still need your admission ticket, and make sure you keep your wrist bands on. It does not cost more to go into the park, but again, it is for resort guests only. Enjoy your trip!

Wristband distrubution for the evening EMH starts 2 hours before. There are serveral distribution point in each park. You do not have to be inside the EMH park before it starts. Disney resort guests can arrive anytime and still be allowed entry and will be given a wristabnd. There is no charge the either the morning of evening Extra Magic Hours.
