Second Question is a little more Personal and If anyone wants to give me some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.........Our Friends Who Might Join us are as big of Disney Nuts as we are......They are excited about maybe joining us for this weekend....They just recently had a Miscarriage and I feel so sad for them, and wanted to do something real nice for my friend, Just us girls, I was thinking of booking the Traditional Afternoon Tea over at the GF, Are there any other thinhs I can do with her without paying alot for!!!!Thanks for your help!!!!!!

AK is a fav of ours, we love everything about it. We are going to Donald's Breakfastorous for the first time in Oct. It is such a neat park, you will really enjoy it. Make sure you get to EE first thing and grab your fast passes. Its tough to be a bug is a must see as well.

I think the afternoon tea at GF is a great idea or maybe you can arrange a spa day there too.

Have a great time!

I would stay away from "It's tough to be a Bug" and dinasaur with the little ones. For sure do Lion King, they'll love it!

My daughter loves the Pocahontas show. Camp Minnie/Mickey has characters. There is a Dumbo-like ride in Dinoland. Tough to be a Bug is a great show, but there is a moment of darkness and big hanging spiders. During our last visit, there were lots of crying kids during those parts. Don't miss the safari.

We had breakfast with Donald, Pluto, Goofy & Mickey at Donald's Prehistoric Breakfastosaurus (something like that) & it was a lot of fun. My 2 1/2 year old & 7 year old loved it--great character interaction for us.

We've never taken ours on Dinosaur because of the fright factor. We had to remove my 2 1/2 year old from Its Tough To Be A Bug--it was too much for him. My 7 year old stayed, but said it was scary. It is pretty cool though for adults.

We always ride the Kilimanjaro Safari several times--always something a little different. We all enjoy that. Festival of the Lion King is another must on our list!

Also, for dining--Rainforest Cafe is a pretty neat experience.

For your friend--I think the tea at GF sounds perfect. I've never done it personally, but after reading about it I know it would be at the top of my list for a "girly" thing to do! princess:

Hope this helps!

Greetings, fellow S. Floridian! :wave2:
Here is a list of all the Character Meals.
http://www.allearsnet.com/din/cb.htm

It's not a Character Meal, but I highly recommend the 2 restaurants at the AK Lodge if you want to keep in that theme. Boma is a buffet, Jiko is unique fine dining.http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm#res

Dinosaur is a very dark, jerky ride with scary dinosaurs that jump out at you. Definitely not good for timid little ones! :scared1: :scared1:

It's Tough To Be A Bug is a very cute 3-D experience that might scare kids that are afraid of spiders. Most kids love it though if they understand that it's safe & make-believe.

You must go to a show of Festival Of The Lion King. Amazingly talented performers, with singing, dancing, gymnastics, high wire artists, a flame juggler, you name it! It's like a concentrated 30 min. Broadway show. :thumbsup2

The Kilimanjaro Safari is great for everybody, but very popular. Get Fast Passes.

Expedition Everest is awesome for coaster lovers. Imagine Big Thunder doubled. Twice as high, fast, long, thrilling!

Kali River Rapids is great for everybody. Anybody who doesn't want to get wet should get a cheap Dollar Store poncho to wear during the ride.

The exploration trails are very cool. Tigers, gorillas, Komodo Dragons, Oh My!

Have you considered the Disney Dining Experience card? Might be a good idea with a group that large. http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm

Finally, for some reason, AK is crazy hot in the summer.
I swear, I am fine in the other 3 parks and then I go over to AK and want to pass out! I believe it must be the dense vegetation and high humidity combined with no cross ventilation. So, my point is, bring frozen bottles of water, a mister fan, a cool bandana and anything else you can get to stay cool. :sunny:

Sorry about your friends sad news. The tea at the GF is lovely, a good girls bonding experience!

all good suggestions above....

my neice liked taking the train to rafiki's planet watch and doing the petting zoo there, good character interaction there too. i look forward to seeing the flights of wonder show this time around. i like AK more everything I go. Primeval whirl is one of my favorites! but probably not great for real little ones. i would also agree on skipping dino and tough to be a bug---our neice started getting on a 'afraid of spiders' kick after we had lunch at sci fi and she got a glimpse of an old B movie with giant spiders....so that ride was out for us! lol :rotfl:
