I'd like to know how you go about getting a disney gift basket delivered to your room as a suprprise before you arrive or while you are out at the parks. Anyone with web addresses or info, clue me in.

Thanks

www.disneyflorist.com try here.
they cant have a gift bskt waiting for you when u check in, since they don't know what room # you will have (untill you check in), but you can plan a delivery time and make sure your out of the room.

I used Disney Florist last month and they were great to work with. I could have had the basket delivered to my friend when he checked in or later in the day to his room. I told them it didn't matter...so they delivered it to him when he checked in. He couldn't figure out why he was getting a gift basket. He even asked the CM if everyone that checks in gets one!!!!

Last year my friend sent my daughter and myself a gift basket, candy bouquet it was so cute and a lot of stuff in them. My daughter got a Princess Minnie stuffed animal and candy, it also had a pink mickey ears anntenna ball. I had a Halloween themed candy bouquet and it had TONS of candy and a halloween anntenna ball with it. I never could figure out who sent it. We went to the park that day and came back with them sitting on the table. Anyway, Peggy's Sweets and More was the ones who did it. The card to my daughter said: We hope you have a magical vacation with lots of Pixie Dust! Love, The Princesses. The number there to the place is 407-656-6076.

Thanks Everyone. I wanted to do something special fro my son and boyfriend. I'll be sure to check out both.

Here are photos of gift baskets that the Disney Florist put together for my family last year (a fellow Dis'er surprised us with them):

There were two baskets. The larger basket contained two plush dolls (Mickey & Minnie), a glass candle with a pewter-colored Mickey topper, various munchies, chocolates, and a couple bottles of water. The smaller gift basket contained various pieces of fruit. Both baskets were lovely, and the balloons that were added to them were a festive touch.

I hope that helped.

O.k. it there a way to make your own basket & either have it delivered to the room or waiting at check in? My mom has been a huge part of our trip in January (she is paying for us to stay at WL) and I would love to do something to surprise/thank her. I would prefer to make my own basket so I can put things in it I know she'll love & use. Can you take something to the front desk & tip someone to take it to someone's room?

You can definately take it to the front desk and ask it to be delivered to your room. Just make sure it has a tag on it with the name your reservation is under. They will have a runner deliver it. If you want to put something together and ship it down, you can do that also. They cannot deliver to the room until the room is assigned. Sometimes, the room isn't assigned until you check in. If that is the case, they will hold you item until check in and then present it to you.

feralpeg,
where did you used to get the boxes you used to make your baskets? Before you stopped making them, didn't you use boxes do make yours? I'd like to make one out of something like that, since it could be thrown away after use and not hog up room in the suitcase afterwards, kwim?

I also have a question about shipping goodies (chocolates especially) in June. Would they melt? Would it matter if they were shipped UPS vs USPS? Does the front desk (or bell services) keep them in a cooled area? I was thinking I'd probably be better off taking the stuff with me in my suitcase and assembling it once I'm there.

Also, does anyone have a link to pictures of really great Disney basket ideas? Or would some of you mind posting some of them here? I always love see how others assemble their creations.

I will PM you the website where I bought my boxes and other supplies. You can ship chocolate in June, but you are taking a chance. If you do, you need to ship it so it gets there very quickly. I would imagine that packages go through Bell Services. I believe the areas are air conditioned, but I couldn't swear to it. You'd really need to call Disney on that. If you would like to see pictures of the baskets I made in the past, my site is still up. It is www.peggyssweetsandmore.com. Good luck. Let me know if you have questions about making the basket, I'd be happy to answer them.

We used the Disney Florist last year when we stayed at WL. We checked in around 7:30PM, and when we got to the room it was waiting on the table. They did a great job. :)

We ordered a basket from the Disney Florist and flowers too.
Arrived at the CR around noon.
Room was ready and the items from the Disney Florist were on the table.

It was May - Memorial Day week.
Maybe it depends on the time of year you go, if the items can be placed in your room before arrival.
