Need info on free dining, Can you help ?

Hello All
I was wondering if anyone new of the dates that Disney usually offers free dining packages? Would a family of 6 qualify ?

The dates for free dining for the general public ( if they are in fact doing it this year) Have not been announced yet. Last year it was announced the beg. of April with Disney Visa holders able to book a few days sooner then the general public.Yes a party of six can qualify, but when you do book you must ask for the free dining promo.They don't automatically give it to you.

The exact datesnot sure of...it is usually for trips from mid august? till right before F&W festival at the end of Sept.

where is it announced? do you have to book through disney directly or do they pass the free dining onto people like virgin where you can book! im excited cos im desperate to try and get a second holiday in this year and we always go at the beginning of september and free dining would make it more possible

Last year when it was announced,these boards lit up like a christmas tree!!!you can also check mousesavers.com.You need to book a Pkg and I am not sure about Virgin.I do know that if you have a discount already...you can not have both free dining and the discount.In other words, you must book Rack rate for your pkg..I went thru AAA, and if free dining comes out I can either take the excellent discount I already have or free dining...Sadly not both..Hope this helps
