The fantasmic dinner package is sold out for the weeek I will be at WDW (last week of April)!! I waited too long to make the reservation!!

Now we need to go to Plan "B", standing on the regular line, and I could use some help deciding when to plan to go. I want to make some other priority seating arrangements so I need to decide on a night to see Fantasmic.

How far in advance do you need to get on line to get a seat? I don't need to be down front or right in the middle. Almost any seat will be OK. I have 2 kids and want to try to minimize the wait time.

Is mid week less crowded than the weekend? On Tuesdays that have 2 shows (we would wnat the earlier one). Would Tuesday be less crowded than Wednesday ot Thursday?

How far ahead of the show should I plan to get on line to guarantee that we will get a seat?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would go in the middle of the week. I would go to the second show, if offered, as it's always less crowded.

I would wait in the line at least an hour beforehand.

I would also advise you to call back at 25 days to see if more times open up as it's been my experience for my last 3 trips that more, later times open up at about 30 days. There is still hope.

For really good seats I would start waiting no laiter than an hour and half before. We have never waited as long for anything as we do for Fantasmic. One and a half to two hours for perfect middle of the theatre seats.

probably about an hour...there is plenty to do there whilst you are waiting.
yes the weekday will probably be less busy than the weekend...
We have never had a problem getting in to fantasmic and have been all times of the year. June, December, May, April, August... and never used the dinner package.

I would try again nearer the time if you really want to go down the dinner package route.

My advice is get close to the back or the right hand side when looking at the "Stage" area. These are the first to leave. Somtimes the worst thing is trying to leave fantasmic!!! Your view will be good from the back too, so dont worry about missing anything. Although the characters will be smaller you will still see them well.

Middle of the week is best. I'd be ready to be there about an hour before. If you must have the perfect seats, 90 minutes. If I were you, I'd get there an hour before.

Thanks for the advice. Seems like the concensus is to be there 1 hour before. We don't have to get the best seats, but I want to make sure we get them.

I will try to call back also. It doesn't hurt to try! Has anyone else had success calling back 30 days prior?

I have... and during Spring Break even (for a party of 6)! Always try calling back! Good Luck! :wizard:
