We have never stayed at the Disneyland Hotel before and we just booked a couple nights for our DD for her and her friends to stay for her 21st birthday. I just wanted to know if it was a nice hotel and is it the hotel that is attached to DTD like Grand Californian? How is the pool? Any info would be great, Thanks!!:cheer2:

We've stayed there twice and enjoyed both stays. It is the original disney hotel and has a lot of charm, but it is starting to show its age. It has a beautiful grounds (koi pond, waterfalls, 2 pools) and 3 towers. It is at the end of DTD and is an easy walk to/from DL and DCA.

We;ve always enjoyed staying there and will stay nowhere welse at Disneyland. There is a Peter Pan themed pool that is really cool. It has tons of Dinsey touches- even pixie dust on the ceiling at night. It's a very easy walk to Disney. It's probably 50 yards from the entrance to the Grand Californian which is the hotel adjacent to DCA

I love the theming in the rooms of the Disneyland Hotel! It's close enough to walk to DTD and the parks, and the monorail is close to the hotel as well and that will take you to Tomorrowland. I recommend the DLH. Of course, I've never stayed at PP or GC either. I just go back to the original! There's great history, photos, etc all in the hotel.

is it the hotel that is attached to DTD like Grand Californian?

Think of it kinda like the way shopping malls are usually laid out... There's one big store at one end (DLH), there one big store at the other end (DLP, and DCA) and there's usually one big store in the middle (GCH). And then all around the big things, are smaller shops and restaurants.

And don't forget about the "Lost Bar" I think it my DD favorite spot after a day at the parks.

We loved staying at the DLH last September, it's 'classic' Disney and has lots of special little touches which I adored! The pool area is lovely and nicely themed. The hotel is also well located for DTD situated at one end of it - it's not a long walk from one end to the other though - one of the reasons I love Disneyland, everything is so compact.

We'd be staying in the DLH in June, but we couldn't get a room so we are staying in the GCH instead and Im strangely disappointed about that lol

Thanks for all your responses I am so excited for her to stay there now. Wish I was going!!:cheer2:
