I'll be bringing dd to the Biddidi Bobbidi Booutique to get her hair and nails done as something special for just the two of us.

On all those little shows on the travel channel about Disney, they always mention the barber shop giving free first hair cuts. This would be a perfect outing for ds and dh. Does anyone have more info on this they can share?

Thanks.

The barbershop is in MK, right beside the fire station, on the left as you enter the park. It's small and kind of hidden and is easy to miss. There are usually two stylists at work...we love Michael!!! Haircuts are usually about $12-15. As far as the 'free first hair cut' I can't say. I know that was the case several years ago, but I can't say for sure if that is still the case. I do know that they give you a nice certificate recording the first hair cut. They are super with the kids....at least that has been my experience.

The Harmony Barbershop is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 PM. It is on a first-come first serve basis.

I have had my haircut there 3 times in the last year. I even got the colored gel with Mickey Mouse on the back and the pixie dust.

I am a 44 year old big kid and enjoyed getting my haircut there. It was interesting walking around the parks with my Mickey Mouse hairstyle. You get some weird looks and comments.

I had a woman whack me in the back of my ankles in Epcot with a stroller. When I turned to look she apologized. She said I was so busy looking at my haircut she did not notice me stopping.

The haircut cost $17.00.

Have fun!!!!!

Can you get a regular haircut without the gel? And for men are they really good at a cut? My DF's hair was getting long on our last trip and it was driving him crazy but he did not even want to consider the MK barbershop b/c he thought he would get some kind of goofy style.

The First Hair Cut isn't free, but it is fun. But IME it has to clearly be their first haircut, not the first 'professional' haircut for them to give you the ears and the certificate.

They are quite good and, no, you don't have to get the gel.

Hmmm, do unevenly home trimmed bangs count as a haircut, you think?

When we took my DS' to the Harmony Barbershop, the first haircut was not free. It was the same price as the regular child's cut, but you got the free mouseears that say "First Haircut" on the back, a certificate and some stickers. It was really fun, I'm glad we did it. Have all the adorable pics to remember it by!

Thank you all.

Free or not, I still think this will be something cute for him and his daddy to go do.

And, at the rate he's going, it will be his 1st hair cut, he's 9 mts and his hair is just sarting to come in.

Has anyone had little girls hair done there? We won't make it to Bibbity bobbity this trip. I thought it would be fun to get DD5 hair done first thing in the morning on our day at MK. Anyone have pictures?
