Hi My DH (24) and I (23) are going to Disney World Feb. 4th-11th for our 1st anniversary :lovestruc . This will probably be our last trip for a long while. We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in a standard view room. I'm just looking for ideas to make this trip extra special. My DH was sooo sweet to me this year. I changed jobs and he has been nothing but extremely caring about it. He has also been on midnights the past 6 months and I work at a 9-5 job, so we only see each other for about an 1-2 hours each night. So I just want this trip to be great. Here's what we have planned for the trip:

Feb. 5th (Our actual anniversary)
-Breakfast at Cinderella's Castle
-Dinner at Boma

Feb. 6th
-Segway Tour at EPCOT

Feb. 7th
-Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (Paul loves all things Alice in Wonderland, he wants to get a Chesire Cat Tatoo :rotfl: )

And that's it for the plans. Any ideas would be great. But we do have a limited budget. Thanks for all the help!!!!

watch the fireworks from the beach at teh Poly resort....it reflects beautifully off the water......

Have you checked out the disney honeymoon site? There are a lot of romantic things in there. Also I would say eat at the California Grill right before the fireworks go off. It is amazing.

I have to agree with both PrincessBlueEyzes and lassiem, DH and I honeymooned at Disney World in May, and it was very romantic. We also stayed at AK. We got the Safari view, which was unbelievable! I have like 3 hours of videotape from when I was just taping the animals! But the carriage ride is a very very romantic idea. The one at PO, goes around the lake, and you can bring a bottle of champagne for a little added romance. We also ate at CG during our stay and got a window seat-again, absolutely amazing. We went during sunset and opted to watch the fireworks in the park. Another thing we did which we really enjoyed together was "bar hop" around Epcot. We had beer, wine, everything! We just sat down and explored with our fave drink from each country. My fave was the Kier Royale in France! Anything you do in Disney will be romantic when it's just the 2 of you.
Also, I know a lot of couples who go together and do that couples spa treatment at Grand Floridian- we didn't do this but it sounds nice. Enjoy!

Did you tell the resort about your anniversary ? - please do. They may spinkle pixie dust on you - free upgrade, nice card in room .... you never know.

Also - call the Disney Florist and have something delivered to your room for just the two of you. Check out their web-site

Take your time and enjoy your time together in the parks .Nothing really beats that find the less traveled trails for a stroll.Rent one of the small boats and go for a ride or one of the surry bikes at one of the resorts.

Ya know, I gotta say, I'm sure this isn't true for alot of people, but I was actually a little disappointed in Disney the way they treated my DH and I as Honeymooners. We told staff at the hotel and everywhere we went that we were on our Honeymoon, and it was like nobody really cared! They didn't do anything special for us like I was told that they do and all we got was a couple congrats. But nothing more than that. Except this one guy who worked on Mission Space brought us to the front of the line. But that was pretty much it.
