My niece is getting married and I just got through looking over her registry. She has lots of small items listed and I thought it would be nice to buy a lot of those items-kitchen related- and creatively present it. Any ideas? I thought about maybe getting the largest colander she asked for and put it all in there. I want it to look really nice, so any ideas are appreciated.

A large stock pot is also a great idea. I use mine all the time to make big batches of soup or chili. They can get a little pricey though.

I like your idea of a colander too!

If you're going to buy kitchen items. Buy a stack of new dishtowels. Then wrap each item in a towel. You can tie each one up with some pretty ribbon. (Usually pretty cheap at Michaels.) Put all your items in the largest, stock pot, colander, etc.

My Parents gave us a Laundry Basket full of Kitchen/Bath stuff. You could also get a trasg can and do this.

For me I loved it but the laundry basket is a huge big ole plastic tub thing like I had at home and used for everything EXCEPT LAundry.

For one of my showers, I received a colander, wooden spoons and something else my brain can't remember  all put together with ribbon and the best part was a handwritten card with a recipe for authentic red beans and rice to make with the equipment. It was really thoughtful and one of the most memorable. I think something personal like that makes a great gift and isn't expensive. Congratulations to your DNiece!
