I need to go back and do a search because I know "receptions" have been brought up before, but in the meantime, we need to make a decision about our "reception" after the ceremony. We're an Intimate 10am ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion. We'd like to have everyone meet back at California Grill for dinner, but my mom would like to have snacks or a light lunch served with the cake. She's being the considerate one and thinking of everyone that has to get up early and will probably only have time for a small breakfast that morning. I say it's one less thing to think about, but maybe we could turn this into an event. I don't know if there are any places that are open where I'd feel appropriate in my dress. Of course I'll probably never want to take off my dress, but I (and everyone else dressed up) might feel silly at a buffet line. Has anyone done sandwiches or a small selection of finger food either at Commander's Terrace or set up on the beach or anywhere else? Any ideas are welcome. As far as parks are concerned, my DFH's grandma's do not have park passes so we're a limited.

you cant wear your dress in the parks so even if your DFs grandma did have passes, you'd have to get changed anyway. we had dinner at our intimate at chef mickeys, didnt feel daft in our full wedding gear and even got loads of attention from the characters! (couldnt afford to get mickey at the reception, so went for next best thing)

I am not sure how much you are willing to spend, but you could go to lunch at the Grand Floridian cafe. It is a sit-down lunch. Depending on what time you will dine at Cali Grill, your guests may need more than a finger sandwich. There is also the tea room, but it doesn't open until 2pm. You might ask if you can order sandwiches for the cake-cutting reception. From what I have heard, they are not allowing intimates to do much through private dining these days. It is worth a shot. Good luck!
