:cool1:My son will be three on Wed. and we are taking him to Disneyland. I am trying to come up with some ideas of how to make it special. We already did the Plaza Inn breakfast with the chracters a couple of weeks ago so we would like to do something different. Something where he will get to see the chracters....any ideas??? We also would perfer not to do breakfast maybe lunch or dinner?

A lot of people on this board made a recommendation for us to go to Goofy's kitchen, they are open for lunch & dinner.

I have also heard (never done it) that you can order a birthday cake.

My boys (3 & 6) love to sit by the water at the Blue Bayou, they don't care too much for the food but love the Cookie Boat.

Don't forget to ask for those "Happy Birthday" buttons!

Congrats on your little guy's b-day!:wizard:

At the plaza inn in the afternoon they have a b-day party. Everyone gets to decorate their own mini cake and Mickey and Mini come out. There's lots of singing and dancing and entertainment from the host. We did it for my son's 5th b-day and thought it was cute and not TOO expensive.

The kids also love Goofy's kitchen. They get to bang pots and pans and stuff during the show! I've only done breakfast but thought the food was good!

Last year on my son's birthday we did a meal at Plaza Inn and got a birthday bucket there. It was Sorcerer Mickey and came with a little birthday cake, a little plush Sorcerer's Mickey, a pin and stickers. I also bought my son birthday ears and had a shirt made up for him for his birthday.

Goofy's Goofy's Goofy's! Ugh...it is so good. The food is great for kids & adults & there are a variety of characters. They have brunch & dinner. I go every year & can't have a b-day w/out it. Oh, & they don't do the pots & pans anymore to the Tarzan song. They do the Twist now.
Many eateries also have mini cakes that can come in a treasure chest. It also comes w/ a compass & some other small goodies. I'm just not sure if you'd want to spend money on that or not.
You can also try to find Alice & the Mad Hatter @ Coke Corner for musical chairs. I don't know what time they're there, but I'm sure your son will have fun.
