My DD just called and had a wonderful idea. She wants to take the girls (7+10) Christmas photo (for greeting card) while we are at WDW, Nov 3-8. She thought we might bring along Santa hats for them to wear. Has anyone else done this...need some unique ideas on where to take the photo, and any other thoughts on what to wear or how to accomplish a great Christmas photo in November.

If you'd like a Christmas atmosphere within the picture, I suggest you take it at the entrance to Downtown Disney's Marketplace, where there is a picture spot with fake snow and a christmas store. Another good spot with an atmosphere of christmas included would be by Mama Melroses in Disney-MGM Studios. It has fake snow and a snowman. I would recommend the Marketplace one, but its up to you. If you wouldn't like snow in the picture, I advise going to Epcot, where the sites are plentiful.

We decided to use a picture that we took last year that didn't have a real Christmas feel for our cards. Actually, it is the one in my signature line. If you are interested in spots with a Christmas feel, the ones posted by Jon16195701 are great. Another suggestion might be with a specific character with the hats on. There are just so many places with great shots that I am sure you won't have any problems!

What I used for my card last year was in fron tof the Castle they have Pointsettia Christmas trees set up. Had my son stand on the bench in front or near one and it turned out great! The castle was in the background with the beautiful red tree...BUT, not sure how much Christmas feel stuff will be around in early November...

We will also be using a Disney photo for our Christmas Cards, but we're going when the Christmas decorations will be up! I just need to figure out the best Holiday spot!!

Last time I was at MGM the Christmas shop was closed. Is it open again?

I actuall did mine two years ago at the "fake snow" scene at Downtown Disney. I had lots of compliments on them. I think I wrote Have a Magical Christmas on them. Good luck with your pictures!:flower1:

We took our Christmas picture at the Wilderness Lodge Villas lobby (see below) But even if the decorations are not up, maybe in front of the fireplace in the lobby of the WL, it is just so cozy and beautiful:) Have a super time. Oh...also, my favorite spot in the MK is that little courtyard area outside of the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, there is usually a sleigh there, maybe you could check there too:)
