Need Ideas For A Xmas Gift For a Teen Boy

DD (13) starting "going out" with this boy from her school . . .DD would like to buy a gift for him, even though I don't feel its appropriate since she's only been "going out" for a little over 1 week. BUT, of course, he's getting something for her . . .so she feels funny not getting at least a little something.

I was thinking maybe getting a small stocking with some candy and stuff in it . . .nothing real expensive, but thoughtful. DD wants to buy him a shirt . . .I'm thinking that's really not appropriate . . .

Sooooo what do you guys think?

Stocking with candy is a good idea. Or maybe a $10 gift certificate from a music store (they all like music). I agree a shirt may be too much.

When DS middle and high school "going out" only lasted about two weeks!!

I agree with the gift certificate. My boys love to get them from Blockbuster, Sam Goody, Wal-Mart ect. They also like to get music cd's. Movie theaters also sell a movie pack with 2 tickets--popcorn and either 1 or 2 drinks for $20.
