some friends of ours who live on the other side of the state have a 3 year old son who had a freak accident and broke his leg...compound fracture of the femur. apparently right now he is in a cast from his chest, down the hurt leg and partly down the other leg. poor baby! we'd like to send something to him...any ideas? he has pretty much every dvd out there.

to top it off, they are due with their second baby in 2 or 3 weeks.

any ideas?

My 3 yr. old nephew wants Fisher-Price Geotrax for Christmas. Basically, thre are different sets like a train station, fire station, construction site, etc. that you can all hook together to make a little town. Also, it's all radio controlled, so it would be easy for him to work since he can't get around. It's very easy to set up, and the nice thing is that you only need one set to make it work. You can eventually build on as much as you want.

It is really a great set. You can do a google search or go to Fisher Price's website to see pictures.

Have you thought abour puzzles? Is he able to sit up at a table?

wow thats the strongest bone in a body poor little guy. lots of books for family to read gameboy ? interactrive tv games. bubbles to blow they really dont hurt the carpet. i let my grand kids do this they think its cool in the winter.

My 3 yo LOVES his Leap Pad. There are a ton of books to go with it. He also loves to play his Tonka computer games. Does he have access to a laptop? Is that something he can do?

A few other things....Magna doodles, View master

I bought my son a gameboy when he was 3 (his older siblings had one) and he LOVES IT! He actually has been playing GB since about age 2 but I got tired of them fighting over the units so he got his own.

He can actually play pretty good. His favorite game right now is Power Rangers. He advances to the next levels and I jot down the passwords so he can begin the next time at a higher level. He also likes a snowboarding game. Not too much skill involved in either of these I suppose; but, he can play them better than I can.
