Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Does anyone know if there is any programs going on with Disney right now that are promoting reduce, reuse and recycle?

My daughter's class has to make a scarecrow for a contest, and we are making Mickey and Minnie scarecrows. I was wondering if we could tie in reusing and maybe have fliers available to promote any Disney efforts for this concept... or in a pinch any other green concept.

Got any ideas?

I know that every resort room has a Jiminey Cricket recycle can in it.

Some of the benches in AK are made out of recycled plastic milk jugs. they also use unbleached napkins. thats all that i know.

they have an ongoing recycling program. there is a recycling can in every resort room and many throughout the parks.
also there are many things through animal kingdom. possibly even rafikis planet watch may touch on recycling, though im not 100% on that.

I work at DAK as an Education Presenter intern and what that means is that I work at the Kid's Discovery Clubs and sometimes I'm posted out in front of the animal exhibits, as well. We are supposed to give out conservation messages every time we talk to a guest. Also, at the Kid's Discovery Clubs we hand out guidebooks where kids can collect stamps at each KDC (after doing a fun and educational activity) and in the books are more activities that teach them more about animals and the environment.

One of the things I like to tell guests is about WDW conservation efforts! I do love to tell guests that the benches in DAK are made from recycled plastic, and that recently the Disney Cruise Line has figured a way to be more fuel efficient by adjusting their departure and arrival times. My favorite with kids though is to teach them how to make healthy backyard habitats.
