Since I'm now officially hooked on Priceline, I'd say go to biddingfortravel.com and see what hotels Priceline has in the Universal area...then go get it! :) I'm getting a resort in Orlando and an oceanfront hotel in Cocoa beach, both under $40 a night. Can't beat it. :smooth:

Thanks NYDisneyMom,
Sounds great! I will check it out. Always looking for a bargain :-)

Ditto! We book thru Priceline. Just click on Universal/Sea World area. We got a 3* hotel for $34 per night, and it was NICE. Much larger and nicer than I'd expected. Many of the hotels have shuttles to the theme parks free.

We always use this for a single "night before cruise" if needed. We still like WDW resorts when doing the parks, but Priceline is the best for those times when you need a place but don't really care what the brand is.

What hotel did you get at $34 a night?

Thanks for the infor...

Here is one of the most valuable tips I EVER got (sorry, it wasn't about DCL): if you stay AT a universal property (there are 3) you can go to the front of the line at every ride in both parks. NOT like fast pass, you simply go to the front. You can do both parks VERY fast this way and it is very enjoyable!. I used the universal boards to get an entertainment rate ($130) and REALLY enjoyed the day and one half before our cruise.

I got the Holiday Inn on I-Drive for $34 per night plus tax. There was an additional $3.95 "resort fee."

The room was huge (we were in the B building, not the main tower), with a large refrigerator and small microwave. Clean and quiet. We really didn't use the facility much, but check in was quick and friendly, and we could park near the door.
