I have Chef Mickey's booked for 1st night @ Disney in Oct., can't get the CA Grill; basically wanted to catch Wishes. Like CMs, yet thinking of something different.

Called today & Hoop De Doo is available for both 5 pmish & 7 pmish, Cat 2 & 3 (as is the Luau @ the Poly). From what i gather there isn't a bad seat in the house:confused: @ either? We're a shy lot so the chance of ducking interaction appeals to us lol

Couple Qs:

1) CM said u need to check in a hour prior? really? seems excessively early to me.

2) Any thoughts on best method of transportation from AKV? We'll have a rental car, wondering if just taking a bus might me our best bet as i read elsewhere that there are resort buses waiting after the shows.

3) How long to allow for transport time?

4) At the risk of being flamed, thinking of visiting WLV (we're allowed to pool hop) & catching boat over...or is that considered poor form?popcorn::
5) Which has 'better' food, worried picky family won't like the 'exotic' fare @ the luau, Hoop de Do's will appeal to them

Any hints most appreciated!

We checked into the HDR 10 minutes prior to show :rotfl2: and had no problems.

We really enjoyed the food at HDR, it's your typical fired chicken and beans kinda meal but we liked it and it's all you can eat.

I have been twice and both times we had tier 1 seats and never been called on, they really only pick maybe 6 people to pick on? I think your chances are pretty slim of being chosen to interact.

The tier 2 seats are just as good as tier 1, now tier 3 is up in the balcony and I have no idea what it's like up there but i'm sure it's fine. The actors do go up there as well so no matter where you sit, there is a slim chance of them talking to you.

I would go with the HDR... well I guess it depends on how old the kids are. We didn't have any kids in our group, just grown kids, so we really like the HDR.

have fun!

thanks, only DS traveling with us is 15, he liked the billy hill show @ DL so im thinking it may be along the same type of humour?

thinking DH will like the included adult beverages:)
