1900 Park Fare- Breakfast
Raglan Road-dinner
Garden Grille-dinner
Captains Grille-dinner
Crystal Palace-lunch

We also going back to 50" Prime time, one of our faves and Flame Tree BBQ

We would LOVE opinions...as we have decided to broaden our horizons by trying places we haven't tried...

Have had tony's and crystal palace.

Both were very good. Nothing outstanding but good.

Honest opinion?

I really love Raglan Road. I have a good time every time we go there, but it's more often for drinks at the bar than for dining. That being said, I have eaten there before and the meal was pretty excellent.

Now, Tony's Town Square might be the worst meal I've ever eaten in WDW. It's borderline Chef Boyardee quality. In my opinion, it's not only the worst restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, but it's the worst Italian food in all of WDW and one of the worst restaurants, period.

I've done 1900 Park Fare for dinner... it was OK. Worth it for the show the characters put on (which is different than breakfast) but IMO not worth it for the food.

We did Crystal Palace for dinner and it was pretty good. A little better than 1900 Park Fare, but another where if it wasn't for the characters I wouldn't go there.

Yeah i agree with the PP, but we are both from NJ the mecca of Italian Cuisine. While i wouldnt say Chef Boyardee, More like an Olive Garden, i have been to an Olive Garden ONCE in my life. Would not go to Tony's ever again

Garden Grill is good
Raglan Road is great
1900 Park Fare only been for breakfast it was nice
Captains Grill i have never tried

50's PT is always a good time i alwayss get the the clean plate sticker

If i were you i would ditch Tony's, go to LTT IMHO

My thoughts

Tonys Town Square -dinner-If you chose this because you want a TS in the MK, I'll admit that your options are limited, especially if you don't want the food served at Liberty Tree Tavern. So if this is sort of a "default" pick, then, OK. But if you chose it because you genuinely want to try an Italian restaurant at WDW, this would be my absolute bottom choice. The good news is, the portions are big enough to feed two people easily, so order the least amount of food that you think you can get away with and you will still have plenty.

1900 Park Fare- Breakfast-haven't been in many, many years, so I have no valid opinion as to the current status.

Raglan Road-dinner-Pretty darn good. Much better than I expected from an Irish pub. Diverse menu and the kitchen seemed to really care about what they sent out.

Garden Grille-dinner-Food is OK. But the overall experience is good. Kind of cool to eat in an attraction and you get the whole character thing to boot.

Captains Grille-dinner-See response to Park Fare.

Crystal Palace-lunch-If you want to see the gang from Hundred Acre Woods, you can't beat the experience. Pretty typical buffet in terms of selections and quality. good enough to keep people coming back. Not good enough to be a standout. But it is a "must do" at least once, so if this is new to you, you shouldn't have any second thoughts at all.

I would argue that Mama Melrose was closer to Olive Garden in quality and that Tony's is a step below that.

We love CP lunch, the food is good, Pooh & friends great & for us it is a great way to take a break at MK.

We did CP for lunch and I wasn't too impressed. I don't think we'll return but then again, we're not huge Pooh fans either. 1900 Park Fare for breakfast was AMAZING though. I loved the food and am hoping to return to that one again :)

CP lunch.. We have done twice 2009 and end Jan 2011. We enjoyed it! Great character interaction (it was only 2/3 full in Jan) and the food was hot, plentiful and the buffet was constantly being refreshed. It was tasty buffet style food with some yummy desserts! We had great service on both trips at CP as well. My DD LOVES pooh so if that's a big draw to y'all - do it!
My DH likes it because it is a great break during a MK day.

Tonys Town Square -dinner Love this place, the shrimp scampi is sooo good
1900 Park Fare- Breakfast We didnt like it, the food wasnt that good and the Mad Hatter was horrible
Raglan Road-dinner Didnt like it at all, terrible service and gross food
Captains Grille-dinner We had a great meal here, would go back if we were staying in that area but I wouldnt go out of my way for it
Crystal Palace-lunch Not a fan of the buffets because the foods are too salty

I've been to Tony's Town Square and had the Chicken Parmesean. It was actually very good. I would say it was better then Mamma Melrose's. We ate there twice on our last trip and both dinners were very good.

We also ate at the Garden Grill. It was also very good. They had great Character interaction.

I'm sure you will get several opinions on every place however, I have found that the best thing to do is to just try it yourself and make your own judgements. I was afraid of Tony's Town Square because of all the negative reviews but we actually liked it quite well. As I say that... I mean no offense at anyone's comments. :)

Yeah i agree with the PP, but we are both from NJ the mecca of Italian Cuisine. While i wouldnt say Chef Boyardee, More like an Olive Garden,>>>I totally disagree with this. Tony's is not nearly as good as Olive Garden!!!! i have been to an Olive Garden ONCE in my life. Would not go to Tony's ever again>>Ditto!

If i were you i would ditch Tony's, go to LTT IMHO >>> I so agree with this! I LOVE Liberty Tree. Tasty!

Tony's was by far the most disgusting meal we've ever had in disney. I had the chicken parm, gross. Absolutely inedible. My son had the spag/balls, I tried it and I couldnt swallow the meatball. It was that gross. If you must go, dont order anything with tomatoe sauce in it. Funny suggestion since its an italian restaurant right? I'd much sooner eat chef boyardee than to eat at tony's again. I went there with very low expectations because of all the bad reviews i read...I went anyway, and boy am I sorry i did! Awful!

Raglan Road-dinner ---- loved this place. great food!

Crystal Palace-lunch---- loved the food here. nice variety and quite tasty.

I've only had Tony's for lunch and thought it was good- but dinner may be a completely different matter.
I used to love Garden Grill but it is the one restaurant that has really lost me over the years. I thought they were great before they went family style but the last couple of time we ate there I just didn't like it. That being said it has really great character interaction and alot of others seem to enjoy it.

I couldnt agree more. Tony's is awful. The most disgusting meal we've had at disney for sure. My son asked never to go back there. I completely agreed with him!

We love Raglan Road and have never had a bad meal there. It's our 'go to' place for good food at WDW.

I much prefer Tony's at dinner, 1900 at breakfast and CP at lunch. So :thumbsup2. Garden Grille is awesome--they only have a dinner but the food was much better this year than last year. I almost went to Captain's Grille but was able to get a last minute ADR at the Yachtsman so I canceled but they menu looked very good.

I have never eaten at Raglan Road and I couldn't get past "blood sausage" on the menu. I'm mildly adventurous but I just couldn't. I was willing to do it for my husband but, after he looked at the menu, he wasn't enthusiastic so we decided to not eat there. However, many, many people say that it's a great restaurant so, if you like the menu, try it.

On your list, I've only eaten at Crystal Palace...for breakfast...I would rather punch myself in the face then go back there, ever. The food was TERRIBLE...I am the mother of 3 girls and have been to plenty of character meals and I thought this was one of the loudest most disorganized ones we've been to (the first place goes to the character breakfast at 1900 park fair...I'd rather punch myself in the face AND throw myself down a flight of stairs than do that again). I have a high tolerance for these things too...all in the spirit of for the girls but really, I just can't and won't do it again. Seriously, skip Crystal Palace. Ew.

Tonys Town Square -dinner-Haven't been in many years, although my sis was there this past May, and loved it! Portions are huge though, you might want to share!
1900 Park Fare- Breakfast- Having breakfast there myself for the first time this Nov! Have had dinner and it was pretty good, a bit noisy, but, it's a character meal!
Raglan Road-dinner- never been, but, have had friends say it's not good,
Garden Grille-dinner-haven't been yet, going in Nov
Captains Grille-dinner-never been
Crystal Palace-lunch-Been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, probably one of my favorite places! Food is typical buffet food, nothing special, but, good tasting, and at right temp. Characters are awesome and come to each table, if not busy, then multiple times. Like Park Fare, can get a bit loud, but, it is a character meal, lots of kids, so, it doesn't bother me at all.
