Need hints for a brand new member!??!?!

Okay, so this is how it goes, on some of the threads that I have read in the past, I remember some saying that after they closed they would call up member services right away to see if they could rush them into the system so they can take advantage of their 11 month window. Okay, this is where I need your help, I am a new member and closed last Tuesday and I am DESPERATE to get into the system so I can make my first reservation. I am not in the reservation as of yet.

Please help, any pointers???

BTW, my resort home is VWL and I want to make a reservation for the first week of Oct next year in a 2BR, what are my chances at this point? TIA!

You should be able to make a ressie 11 months out per the actual check-in day. Will be in Dec sometime!! Hope this helps!! If you already have your dates ready MS can tell you right away!!

I wouldn't worry, VWL won't book up 2 bedrooms in October for a while. (Eleven months from the checkout day for the first week in October is the first week in November).

There is no way to "rush" member services with a resale. You'll just need to be patient and wait. But if you closed last Tuesday, you should be in - usually takes 3 to 5 business days.

I did book mid-October a week ago and was told it was "very busy" - but I had no problem getting my entire week in a standard view BW room without bothering with day to day reservations - which is a harder reservation to snag.

I agree with Crisi! Although my experience isn't with VWL, I do agree that you shouldn't have any problem getting into the resort for the time period at an approximate ten month window Congratulations on your closing! I know how excited you must be
