Hi I am new here and just heard about renting points. I am not sure how it works really, but I have checked the DVC Point Cost Comparison Table to see what I would need. I have 2 options here really. I could get 180 points and rent 3 rooms or I could rent a 3 bedroom at OKW for 268. Would Disney let me rent 3 rooms. You see I have 6 children and 2 are special needs. I have to bring 2 nurses with me - so that leaves me a total of 10 people. My youngest is 3 and in a wheelchair and my 8 year old is in a wheelchair. We have not been to Disney before and thought is would be a great vacation for our kids. I could researve at a value resort - but thought it would be fun to stay at OKW. Please help!!!

I've moved your questions to the DVC Board where you'll get some answers.

Basically, by using this board, you would be renting a reservation directly from a DVC member using their points. Points are of no use to a non-member since only members may use them to make reservations. The points needed can be used as a reference to compare rates directly thru Disney.

Your needs may be best served by reserving thru Disney directly however, since it sounds as though you may require accessible rooms. You can certainly post the dates you're interested in on the DVC Rent/Trade Board to see if a member may be able to assist. The 3BR Grand Villas tend to go quickly, so there may be limited availability depending on when you wish to take your trip.

If you plan to go before the end of 2005, you may need to reserve thru Disney directly as availability thru DVC members is very limited (Disney may also have some availability at DVC resorts) or consult a Travel Agent (Dreams Unlimited Travel is one of the sponsors for the DISboards and would be happy to provide a free quote.)

Have fun planning your trip! :)
