I need to receive some packages at POR (Christmas presents - Shipped from US). We will arrive on the 19th of december. How long before we arrive can and will POR receive the package ?

How long does it typically take to send a package using USPS from a US adress to WDW taking Christmas into consideration ?

How should the package be adressed ? Is name enough or should it include arrival date or reservation no ?

I hope someone here can help me

TIA

You are more than welcome to send packages ahead to be there for your arrival. The hotel will sign for them and hold them at the front desk for you. You can send it anytime, they will just hold it for your arrival.

It can take a week or longer sending it through the US Postal Service as they do not deliver directly to the resort (they go to a PO Box), have you considered sending it UPS or Fed Ex, both deliver directly to the hotel... They tend to be quicker.

For POR using US Postal Service (USPS does not recognize Disney roads and will not deliver directly to the hotel):

The reservation name
Your check in date
C/O Disney's Port Orleans Resort
PO Box 10,000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

For POR using UPS or Fed Ex mail it to (delivered directly to the resort):

The name the reservation is in
Your check in date
C/O Port Orleans Riverside
1251 Riverside Dr.
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Thank you very much for your help

That was just the information that I needed :D

Hi there, Just a suggestion. Resorts prefer that you write on the package the name of the Resort, name of guest, and statement of "HOLD FOR ARRIVAL ON
__________ list date.

We had packages sent to us this past October while in WDW for our anniversary. Pop Century had two packages waiting at the front desk at check in that were sent Fed Ex. AKL delivered a package to our room with our luggage. However, at SOG, it took an extremely long time to receive an anniversary card from our daughter. We were in WDW for 17 days. She mailed the card 4 days before we left. It arrived the last day we were there. I suggest mailing early, use Fed Ex if possible and write all information on the package.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation. :D

This is going to sound silly, but the thought just popped into my head. Has anyone ever fed-exed any of their luggage ahead? Just wondering.
