Hi,

I really need a big help. I purchased 5 days hopper through expedia for upcoming family vacation but apparently i hit the back arrow before hitting the purchase botton and date range got set back to the pre-setting date. Now my December trip shows up as March date on voucher.
I didn't notice the wrong date till I received the voucher via email on the next day. Then I spent last 2 days with expedia to fix it. Supervisor talked with WDW and told me I have 6 months to exchange to tickets... which is around August. Or, I'll just eat $2000 and buy another tickets.
I'll call Expedia tomorrow again but if I can't get it straight out, is it possible to exchange the voucher to hopper tickets and just don't use them till December? It'll be still cheaper for me to fly to Orlando by myself to do this than spending another $2000 on tickets. Or are these tickets only good for valid date range on the voucher?

Yes, it's my fault that I didn't check dates before purchasing them but hope someone has some clues because I'm about to cry right now...

Thanks,

Ko

Talked with a really nice agent from WDW ticket office and she told me even though the date on voucher is expired by the time we visit there, WDW will grant my voucher to exchange tickets. So all is good.

I would get something in writing on that. When you show up just telling the person "Well I talked to soandso at the call center and they said I could do it" may be be enough.

Do a more thorough search on our boards. I remember someone else posting about this exact same problem, probably in the last year or so and I think they were able to resolve it before they left. I don't have time to look now but I will see if I can later if you didn't find it.

I would not just let this go yet until you have information in writing from an official source that your tickets will be valid.

Okay, didn't take me long to find it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3041747

This was a poster that was only here for this thread so I wouldn't bother asking them any questions, but read the thread and see if you can find information to help you. Sounds like you need to keep rattling cages at Expedia and move up the ladder if necessary.

Now I'm freaking out. We bought our tickets through Orbitz.. and my brother bought his for 2 days later.... We have overlapping vacations.. not the same vacation. My parents may have to choose between spending time with my husband and me, or my brother and his son. I lose.

Bumping this -- I've never bought anything from Orbitz but I know lots of members have.

And I don't really understand what you said. :confused3
