Me and DH are going on an adult trip to disney (yeah no kids). I wanted to try some places I have never been to before. So far here is my wish list,

Liberty Tree Inn- Character Dinner
Sci Fi- not sure which is better luch/dinner
50's Prime Time Cafe- again lunch or dinner
Cape May-Character Breakfast
Chef Mickey- Breakfast
Ohana- Breakfast or Dinner
Boma- Breakfast or Dinner
Princess Story book Breakfast
Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine-Character Breakfast (we wanted to check this out for a future trip with the kids)

Would it be wierd for two adults to go to the Playhouse Disney breakfast? We didn't want to take the kids here before we checked it out.

Any input from fellow Dissers on what is better lunch or dinner at the resturants on our wish list, or any other places for our "honeymoon" trip  would be awesome.

Thank you in advance for your advice.:lovestruc

Cape May breakfast is our favorite, we make sure to go on every trip. We are trying Boma and Chef Mickeys for breakfast on our trip in April. 50's PT has awesome fried chicken and smores.

Liberty Tree Inn- Character Dinner
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Even my picky DM likes the food here, except the mac ' cheese, my DD8 wouldn't even eat it. :scared1:
- not sure which is better luch/dinner-I don't like either.
50's Prime Time Cafe- again lunch or dinner
Either would be good. We love the pot roast
Cape May-Character Breakfast
-haven't done
Chef Mickey- Breakfast
haven't done
Ohana- Breakfast or Dinner-
hated dinner (food was dry and overcooked) loved breakfast. Very good :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Boma- Breakfast or Dinner
haven't done breakfast, really like the dinner :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Princess Story book Breakfast
-have done this several times, can be very rushed. If you want another meal with princesses, I would rec. Park Fare at GF for dinner. Better food, less rushed, try to go at less busier time as can be noisy. Or if you just want another character breakfast, PF is good for that as well, but no princesses at breakfast (Winnie, Tigger, Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins)
Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine-Character Breakfast (we wanted to check this out for a future trip with the kids)
haven't done either.

You didn't ask about, but here's my thoughts on a few others you may not have tried.
Kona Cafe-dinner :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Narcoossee's-wonderful atmosphere, good food, a good splurge. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Try to be there during Wishes.

No, nothing is weird at WDW! ;)

Enjoy! :goodvibes

H & V is the only restaurant at WDW that I won't return to. When we went it was gross. That was before the Play & Dine meal. However, that said, I would not "waste" an adults only trip meal on this for any reason.
I would second Kona Cafe for a good dinner. And the Poly is beautiful and romantic to check out.
Although pricey, we loved Jiko and found it to be very quiet and romantic. There were very few (if any) children there.
We also like both Restaurant Marrakkesh in Morroco and Teppan Edo in Japan.
Have a Great Trip.

Kona Cafe in the Polynesian is my new favorite place for dinner...if you like seafood, Tuna Oscar and Macadamia nut crusted mahi-mahi will be just the ticket!

We prefer SciFi for lunch. Food is not great (but atmosphere is) so we go for a burger and shake at lunch. At dinner, we like a bit more so that's why we prefer lunch there. Besides, its always very cool in there which is nicer mid-day.

On the flip, we like 50's much better for dinner. Food is good but it's a heavy meal. Think mom's home cooking. We just don't like to eat that much mid-day. Especially when you get those smores for dessert (and they are so worth getting).

It sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun meals.

Good for you two! I'm sure you will have an amazing time. Relax and enjoy!

Liberty Tree Inn- Character Dinner
Well, I've not eatin here, so can't help you there, some say it's not so good for dinner, that it's a hit and miss, but good for breakfast, but I think CP (Crystal Palace) would be better for breakfast.

Sci Fi- not sure which is better luch/dinner

Food isn't suppose to be very good, if it's atmosphere your going for, then you will love it. I would suggest Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare instead for dinner, you'll get to see Cindy and Prince Charming, the step sisters and the wicked step mother. Which I hear the sisters are a hoot! Make sure to call them the ugly step sisters and see what they do. hehehe :rotfl:
And you can't go wrong with GF, it's so pretty to tour around the grounds. Also if you get a chance to go to High tea there I would do it! You won't be disappointed what so ever. And if hubby is concerned about getting full for high tea, he will be pleasantly suprised. Plus it gives you a chance to dress up together!

50's Prime Time Cafe- again lunch or dinner

I wouldn't be able to help you here.

Cape May-Character Breakfast

Hear you can't go wrong with this place, the dinner is suppose to be very good as well. Great reviews!

Chef Mickey- Breakfast
This is a hit and miss on quality and usually always crowded, the CM's usually get pretty testy with places that are always crowded. That's been my experience and all the reviews I read say the same thing. You need to go to AllEarsNet.COM for reviews you can't beat the advice. It helped me big time!

Ohana- Breakfast or Dinner

I would suggest the Kona Cafe for your breakfast and have the tonga toast! Yum! But if you rather have Dinner than you can't miss Ohana's, make your ressies for about an hour before Wishes and ask to sit next to the window. If they can't give that to you, then get out to the beach with a drink and watch on the beach! Awesome! :wizard:

Boma- Breakfast or Dinner

It's an absolute to have dinner here over breakfast, you won't be disappointed what so ever! :lovestruc You'll get to try new things that you wouldn't get a chance to eat anywhere else and the desserts are outstanding! This is a good ressie to make for your AK day, I made it for around 6:00 because the park closes early and that way you get to see the resort when it's still light out. Even if your not one to try new things, they still have a lot that's "normal" looking to eat. Like Prime Rib roast, etc. If you like salads of all kinds this is your place! And don't get me started on the atmosphere! Make sure you have time before or after you eat to look around the resort. My suggestion to anyone is to try and go to other Deluxe resorts for your dinning so you can see the beautiful hotels. You won't be disappointed.

Princess Story book Breakfast

Can't go wrong here, food is decent and the atmosphere is beautiful!

Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine-Character Breakfast (we wanted to check this out for a future trip with the kids)

I highly discourage you on this one, the food is horrible and the cleanli-ness is much to be desired. :headache: The staff isn't always at their best. I would however suggest Crystal Palace instead, get your ressies as early as they open, that way your in MK before it opens, you get pics on Main St.and the Castle without the crowds! Can't beat that! Besides it gives you a head start on your day because your already in the park before everyone else is!:yay:

My I also suggest for breakfast or dinner is the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare! I loved this place! The food is wonderful, always fresh, and the characters are so much fun. I would suggest you get ressies the last couple of hours they are open for either dinner or breakfast, it's less crowded and the characters spend more time with you. If your going at a time that the parks aren't overly crowded then pick the times that are best for you, but my experience has been that no matter how crowded or not the parks are,the resturants are.

If I could, I would highly suggest a dinner at Coral Reef in place of Liberty Tree, it's an amazing experience most would love and never forget. Again I suggest the reviews page from AllEarsNet.COM to review for resturants around WDW, they will never stear you wrong. PM me if you can't find it and I will help you, also if your wondering anything about some of my suggestions just PM me and I will fill you in.

I would not go to H&V without kids. The food selection is mid-size with nothing special. The foods they do have are done well. But this is really a kid's thing (unlike Chef Mickey, Cape May or LT). Save it for the kids. The characters and the atmosphere is very kid-like and I would even say it is for young kids. They are sure to like it when you do go with them.

We love Cape May and Chef Mickey for breakfast. Both are terrific.

Sci-Fi is good for lunch or dinner. The menu is a bit different. Food is always simple but done well. You cannot go wrong either way.

You have a lot of character dining on your list even though you are going without kids... If I can make a couple of suggestions....
**I think Le Cellier in Epcot is a great place for couples to go. Also, Artist Point in WL.

We have gone to Hollywood and Vine 2 times with kids and now we are going with out the kids and we are skipping H and V. I really like it and I think it is great for young kids but don't waste your couple time here.

Princess Story book Breakfast

We went in 2006 as adults only and are going this time too.

We loved Sci-Fi (lunch is best) and 50s PTC (dinner here). I LOVED Chef Mickey...it was my fave breakfast. We're trying dinner this time. Have you considered Crystal Palace breakfast too? It's a lot of fun.
Princess Storybook was good and much as I loved eating in the castle it does have more characters. Not done the others yet.
We're also doing 1900 PF for dinner this time, and Boma. Oh and California Grill. We did, and are doing H&V but for dinner not breakfast.

Have fun

Boma is our favorite buffet on property. We love having dinner there. There are so many great choices to choose from.

We saw a couple of adult-only tables at H&V breakfast last May. I just assumed they wanted to eat breakfast in the park before opening. The table next to us just waved at the characters, the couple across from us had pictures taken.

We LOVE adult trips to WDW!! I would drop some of the buffet/character meals and add in Kona Cafe and Coral Reef. We don't eat much in the way of seafood and both places served us up delicious food and service. Our steak at Kona was much better than the steak at Le Cellier and the atmosphere at CR is wonderful as well as the food.

Do you need ADR's for breakfast / dinner for Cape May? :confused3
Could we walk in or call a few days ahead?

We will be at BCV in 4 days and would really like to try it.
