Need help with waitlist options

I very rarely need to make use of waitlists, particularly at high demand times, so I am looking for some help determining my best options for Marathon weekend. I have a reservation for January 3-8 at OKW. I would have preferred BWV but didn't grab it closer to the 11 month mark because we were not sure if we were bringing the kids and my mother and therefore which size room we needed. We have decided we are bringing them, and thus need a 2 bedroom. I have waitlisted the stay at BWV, but being marathon weekend, I am not sure I have a great chance.

I am planning to do a second waitlist at 7 months. I am doing two races that can be viewed by family from the BW/BC resort area, so that area is my first choice. So I was originally thinking of doing BCV as my second waitlist. However, as I think about it, I am considering doing BLT instead, because I feel like there are more two bedroom options there, and thus I might have a better chance. I recall in the past seeing links to the breakdown of room types available at each resort, but am not finding it, perhaps I am looking in the wrong places.

My questions are:
1) While I know its all a bit of luck, where do you think I would have the best chance of getting a 2 bedroom along the marathon route? The hotels that could access it (for my spectating family) are BLT, GF, Poly, BWV and BCV.
2) Is there anyway to waitlist that you will take any 2 bedroom at a given resort? For instance my current waitlist is for a 2 bedroom pool/garden view at BWV. But really I'd take any 2 bedroom at BWV, regardless of view. And at BCV and BLT I'd take any view and I don't care if it is a lock off or dedicated 2 bedroom. I have had mixed luck on the phone with MS in the past, so I do everything via the website. But if I call, can the MS people do a waitlist differently?
3) Because BWV is all lock off villas, which I think can complicate getting one, do you think I would be better off at 7 months moving the waitlist somewhere else?

No 2-bedroom Villas at PVB (only studios & bungalows).
BLT has the most available 2-bedrooms out of your options. There are approx. 74 dedicated lake view 2-bedrooms and 101 lock-off lake view 2-bedrooms at BLT.

Wait list entries can't be modified (except to change the expiration which can be either 31 or 7 days from check-in). To change a wait list to a different resort, you have to start a new wait list and will go on the bottom of the list.

Sorry, I worded that poorly. I knew I'd start over at the bottom, what I can't decide is, are the total numbers available so much better at say BLT than BWV for 2 bedroom villas, that at 7 months if I haven't gotten BWV I'd be better off giving up on that and having waitlists in 2 categories at BLT?

In the end, at least I have a room, and like OKW just fine. I would like to stay somewhere that would give my family the chance to roll out of bed and see me run by easily, but if they have to put a little more effort into it, they'll survive. I will keep watching the resort availability tool and see if more of the stay is available at one resort vs. another closer to when I set up the waitlist in June. Thanks again for the help.

Being up front - I wouldn't be holding out a lot of hope for a waitlist for marathon weekend - that's a tough one.

I do agree that BWV is tough to get a 2BR because there are only lock-offs there so you need someone to cancel a 2BR and nobody else to have a waitlist for either a studio or a 1BR that is ahead of you.

What I'd consider the best 2 options to waitlist would be BLT - lakeview and probably VGF. Otherwise I'd waitlist BCV before BWV as there are dedicated 2BR's there. In order to have other options you'll need to check the RAT periodically to see if something else opens up that you could book.

Poly Standard View Studio has the largest number of available rooms.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate your thoughts. I know my chances are not great, but I figure I can put forth my best effort by going for what theoretically is the most likely possibility. A small part of me is hoping a bunch of people will want to change to the Copper Creek, and I will get lucky with the waitlist when the 7 month window opens for that. Good news is that today I fixed the unwanted split stay I had at OKW by watching the the resort availability tool. I had 1 night in a 2BR near HH and 4 nights standard 2BR. I managed to grab a full five days by watching the availability tool. I still don't understand why they can not check for people on the waitlist before it is released to open booking. I had the one night waitlisted for a standard 2BR and it became available today. I checked my waitlist, and it was still active. So I did the 2 browser method and held the 5 day reservation while I cancelled the 2 parts of the split stay. I was going to drop that waitlist at 7 months so I could add a different resort, but now I don't have to worry about it.

At BWV, there are:

Appreciate the numbers again. I swear I remember a post where I saw this for all the resorts, but I am not finding it. Can you tell me where you are getting these number for my future knowledge?
