Need Help with the DDE.

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to these questions?

When ordering a DDE card, does it expire after one year?
If so, when does that time begin? When you purchase it or when you first use it?

I've also heard that it takes quite some time to arrive in the mail, anyone know about how long?

It expires about 12-13 months after you order it on the last day of the month. I think there's a cut-off date that if you order it after that day you get the extra month. Someone here or at DDE should be able to tell you that.

There were having problems about timely receipt of the cards in the mail. Again you could ask when you call. If you do not receive the card by the time of your trip, Call DDE again. They will send over a temporary pass to Guest Services at Epcot (outside the park). The only drawback is that you have to get to Epcot on your first day to pick it up.

The CM's at the DDE number will be more than happy to tell you what date you should order it to get the extra month -- you probably won't even have to ask!

The expiration date is not related to either the order date or the date of first use. We ordered in early November to get one that was good from Dec 1 of one year through Dec 31 of the following year.

There were some problems with delays when they first started offering them to AP holders as well as Florida residents, but we've received both of ours in about two weeks, in plenty of time for our trips.

I ordered mine recently and took about 3 weeks to get.

Ours did not arrive in time before our last trip so we picked up a temporary one at Guest Relations at Epcot.

Mine expired in March and I still get email invites to special events!
My question to anyone who might know: I let my AP lapse, and I will get a new one in Sept when I go for the DDP using my one day base ticket and upgrading it...since I won't have my AP until then, is there any way to get the DDE card while you are on-site? I am going to be there Sept 3-8 and will get my AP the 3rd, and will return on Sept 27 for another trip. I know I can order it after I get home and pick it up at Epcot guest services, but that would involve a trip to Epcot the first day of my second vacation. Can I just get one somewhere while I am there?
