Here we go again......

Okay,so after much debating we have decided against doing the Mk on Thanksgiving Day! So tired of hearing what a bad idea this was... we really aren't used to heavy crowds, so here goes...

Wed- check into WL (around or 4pm). No idea how long this might take! go to MK to acivate passes, see Castle, meander about.. dinner at Whispering Canyon (if we have time)... pass out

Thurs- Epcot---- is this a good idea on this day??? Opening until??? maybe 2 or 3pm... back to WL
Chef Mickey (please God, let me get it!) -celebrate DS's 6th birthday! See fireworks, ewp??? pass out

Fri- MK--- is this better than Thurs??? Even slightly better is still better. Do what we can until we are ready to go (we usually are by noon!) Swim/rest go to Epcot (our favorite park) for dinner at Coral Reef and Illuminations. Back to WL..pass out

Sat- are we still here? This is LONG trip for us! AK- dinoland now that DS can ride primeval whirl and dinosaur! After lunch head back to WL.. swim/rest... DH and I will go to dinner at Artist Point while DS is at the Cub's Den. PASS OUT MAJORLY!!!

sun--- breakfast at whispering canyon- go home!!!
We plan on using our car to go to Epcot and AK. WL boat to MK.

I think this plan is a little more relaxed. We have a few rides we really want to hit in each park, but that's it. We will be content with people watching and enjoying the WL!!!

we' ve decided not to do any EE and basically just switched our days for MK and Epcot. Should we be okay now???

Hi!
I have never been to Disney during Thanksgiving weekend (always the week after!:p), so I can't help you out, but I will bump this up for you in case someone missed it!! :)

We went on Thanksgiving weekend in 99 and it was very managable - a little more crowded than usual but not overwhelming. Have a great trip!

I have been to WDW during the Thanksgiving holiday, and know that one time a few years ago, MK was closed early on Thanksgiving Day due to large crowds. The CM we talked to said the rest of the parks weren't bad that day, so you should be OK. You do know there will still be a lot of people at WDW, but your plan is manageable, I think.
