Need Help with Summer 2018 Trip!

I am very excited to be in the active planning of another trip to WDW! I have been chomping at the bit to return since a glorious trip in May 2016 with my children and extended family (this was my 4th trip but the first with my children - who were 2 and 5). This time my brother's teenage children will be coming for their first time and their mother will only let them come in the summer. So for the first time ever I am facing a summer trip. I am not thrilled with this but any trip to WDW is better than none at all! We can go anytime between 6/18 and mid August. I was thinking that the week of 6/18 or early August would be less crowded than July - or is it all really the same once mid June hits? Also, is August noticeably hotter than late June?
