do you have a minute to help me with a school project?

when you hear the word "kindness" what picture do you see in your head? the context is in reference to it as kindness can unite people.

I'm making a poster and trying to involve as many pictures or visuals as possible.

thanks for your help!

Oh gosh
How about the American soldiers who give candy to the Irauai children
or people helping with Habitat for Humanity
These are acts of kindness

I can't quite tell you what it means, but to me the pictures I would select include people who are performing an act of kindness--feeding, clothing, helping, loving a fellow living being.

The possibilities are endless. :)

In emoticons:

Kind: :hug::grouphug::flower3::cheer2::love1::thanks::chat:

I think of volunteer work, being a good citizen and caring about our planet and the life on it. I immediately thought of my dog! the feeling of kindness and love that he provides when he looks into my eyes. OK, people and the planet:)

I picture:

Someone bringing flowers to someone else

A picture of a giving tree which pairs of socks and gloves hanging from the branches

Children singing at a retirement home

People dropping off turkeys and blankets at a designated donation truck

A bag of food sitting outside of the mailbox (so the mailman can pick it up for their food drive)

Someone helping an elderly person cross the street or carrying their bags;

Someone giving up their seat on a Disney bus for a child/elderly person/mom :eek: :lmao:

People bringing food to others who have lost a loved one

People working in soup kitchens, working at coat drives, etc.

Holding open a door for someone

Ty Pennington and his crew and volunteers building a house for a family in need

When I think of "kindness," it's not just doing something nice for someone else. It involves keeping your eyes open for opportunities to do good, and recognizing people in need.

the visual representations i think of are:
- people smiling
- hugs. particularly between parents/children, grandparents/grandchildren
- someone helping an elderly person
- kids playing together

I think of the movie Paying it Forward, Kevin Spacey...
doing for others and how the goodness passes on from one persons giving without expecting in return.

that child learned real kindness, sad movie though.

Well, you know the first thing that popped into my head was a younger (40ish) woman helping an older (80-90is) woman up.

I think of kindness in terms of smaller actions like overlooking a flaw of some kind, being excited about a child's idea that you know would never work, hugging someone who's down, etc.

thanks guys! That gives me a start!

please feel to list more.....I'll be checking to see if anyone else had ideas.
