Hi, we are having a fall festival at my daughters school (grade K-5) and we need some ideas on things for hte kids to do there...we have pumpkin decorating, coloring pages, tattoos, face painting and we are looking for some more things (cheap) to have set up for them to do.....we are also giving out hot dogs, drinks, cotton candy and ice cream....

Any ideas will be helpful! Thanks!!

One thing I always do is either a candy bar walk or a cupcake wall. Same rules go as if it was a real cake walke but alot cheaper and easier to manage instead of real cakes.

Another thing you can do if you can find the supplies is let them make their own "family tree." We made tree trunks from this brown felt that we found and found fall colored leaves already cut out. The kids got so many leaves per tree and they would write a family member on each leave and glue/tape it to the tree. I think we got all the supplies at Michaels's but I'm not sure.

Also what setting up some background made from hay bales and pumpkins and scarecrow looking people and take the kids picture in front of it and them let them make a little fram to put the pic in. They can give it to someone as a present.

Thats about all I know about fun cheaper things to do with younger kids. Have a great party.

The most popular game for the kids at our Fall Festivals was Fishing. Set up a blue tarp, behind it put a couple of volunteers with small prizes (candy, plastic jewelry, etc.) and let the kid throw the fishing line over the tarp and get a little prize.

We had a fall festival at my school and we did a game called "Ghostbusters" for the kids and they loved it! We took white, helium filled balloons (with strings!) and then we drew funny faces on them. We gave the kids a net and a time limit (2 minutes or so) and had them try and see how many ghosts they could catch! The funny thing is that where we did this was under an air vent and the "ghosts" were bobbing up and down! :p The kids had a blast with it and everyone got a prize. :)
