i made a reservation at the bcv for oct.. now i made this ressie at 9am on the first day ms was taking reservation at the bcv.

my question is this.. is it a first come first serve basis on getting the room you requested (like pool view).. or will i get a preference since i made the reservation before anyone?

what i am saying is if i arrive at the bcv at say 3pm and requested a pool room (and i made my request say march 1st) and someone else arrives at 11am (and made his/her request for the same room on june 1st).. we the second person get preference over me since they checkin first or will i get the room i requested over them becaue i made the request first?

please help.. i need to know how early to get there in the am

thanks

The DVC policy is to assign rooms in the order the requests were made. So if you made your request when the reservation was made, you should have first opportunity to have the request met.

It will also depend on what is available at the resort on the day you arrive. If all pool view rooms are already occupied from the night before, there would be none available- regardless when you made the request.

Most guests don't make any request, so I would think you have a good chance to get your requests met. You can check in anytime after midnight!(... but the room won't likely be ready for you yet!) ;)

Good Luck!

We are firm believers in checking in as early as possible. We usually make a room request and usually have to wait for it to be ready. But by getting there early, then going about your day, I really do believe you have a better chance of getting what you want.

Remember, the early bird catches the room.;)
