Need help with resale points expiring end of May

I need help. I am in the process of buying a resale with 100 pts. exp. end of May at VWL will I be able to sell or rent these points or will they go wasted. I probably won't close till next month sometime.

Possibly - if you don't close until sometime next month, you may run into availability problems. However, the 100 points are now good for any of the DVC resorts and there should be something available somewhere. You may have to offer the points at a lower price to attract an offer since they expire in May.

If the points are current for the 2005 Use Year, you can still bank 25% of the total contract thru March 31. If you close prior to that time, I'd call MS as soon as possible to bank as many points as you can. You can also ask the current owner to bank them right now- they can bank up to 50% of the total points thru Feb. 28.

If they are points that have already been banked, you'll need to try to find a way to use them by May 31. Try the Rent/Trade Board here to see if someone needs help with a rental. There may be some good opportunity for early May reservations.

they are already banked points from 2004, will be cutting it close to unload them.
