So, originally I wanted to go to HS as when I went several years ago this was my favorite park. But it looks like a lot of things have been removed since my last visit like Lights Motor action stunt show, The studio tour which was just ok and I think some other things. Me & DD are not Star Wars fans and I see a lot of SW stuff to do. My question is if I change my plan to go to Epcot so we get to get on the newer Frozen attraction with FP+ and a few other items and then head to HS to do Tower of Terror, Toy Story & Rockin Roller Coaster and Fantasmic which is a must for me as I didn't get to see it on my last trip. Do you think it's possible to get FP for these attractions or what do you suggest? I am planning on purchasing the express transportation passes to get us into the 2nd park faster. I want to note I had an ADR at Tattoria Al Forno at 10:20am as DD is a HUGE Mermaid fan and I barely got an ADR for this. Please let me know what you all think of this plan or suggest.

It all depends on the time/day/season/etc. Since you can only hold FP+ in one park at a time and can only add additional FP+ one at a time, it would be very difficult to get them for all of the rides you'd like to do. Why not make all 3 of your initial FP+ for the rides at HS for later in the day? Then you could rope drop Frozen, followed by Test Track in single riders, then take the boat or walk to the BoardWalk for your ADR. You can go back to Epcot after breakfast and finishing touring there. Later, hop to HS and still know you'd be able to do what you want to there. Keep in mind the FP+ system is tiered at HS and you can't get them for all of the attractions you listed at once. You'll have to prioritize and use the stand by lines for some things.

Duh... I guess I should have stated when I was going. We will be there Saturday May 13th. I do like Soarin but am not interested in Test Track, too fast for me. :o Will I be able to make my ADR if I do rope drop to Frozen as you have suggested? Also, someone told me if I don't use FP+ for Frozen I won't get to do this at all. :(

Where there's a will, there's a way! You can rope drop Frozen but it will require you to be at the gate 45-an hour prior to park opening and then a brisk walk straight to Norway. You may still have to wait in line but it won't be as long as it will later in the day. You will have time to get to breakfast. Plan for about 30-40 min to walk or take the boat there.

Fantasmic is often available later in the day. However, it will likely be difficult to get the other rides, especially if you're not going until after your breakfast.

Are you going to a park before your breakfast? You could rope-drop Epcot and do Frozen then, so you wouldn't have to use a FP on it later, and then walk to Trattoria. You might be able to ride something else at Epcot, depending on how long your wait is at Frozen.

Another option would be use one FP+ for Frozen and as soon as you enter the line get on the MDE app and choose a your highest priority FP+ for HS. Standby waits at Toy Story have subsided due to the third track being open. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is likely to have the longest wait but also may not have any FP+ remaining by the time you'd be eligible to add one.

Ok I talked to my daughter and she thinks doing rope drop for Frozen and then heading to breakfast and afterward back to Epcot to check out F&G, the egg hunt and the butterfly tent and other attractions & then head to HS later in the afternoon to utilize our FP+ selections. Rockin Roller Coaster is one of her favorites, & since Tower of Terror is no longer in DL and is her favorite she must do this and of course Toy Story. Thank you everyone for your advice, I appreciate it!:flower1:

That sounds like a good plan. Just remember that Rockin Roller Coaster, Toy Story, and Fantasmic are all tier one, so you can only prebook one of them. You stand a good chance of getting Fantasmic as a fourth FP -- just keep refreshing the app when you're looking for availability for it. Toy Story or RnR will be harder.

I have the tiers written down on my spreadsheet so, I didn't remember that when I spoke thanks for the reminder. I did read getting Fantasmic as a 4th FP was a good idea. I want to go on the great movie ride as well as I don't remember this from my last trip. Thanks again!:o

Great Movie Ride is very hit or miss with its' line. I've seen the line be 50 minutes one day, and the next day (at the same time of day), it's nearly a walk on. So keep an eye on your MDE app to see what the wait time is if you don't have a FP+ for it.

You can get in Fantasmic without a FP+ if needed, not all that hard, but if you can grab it as a 4th then I would.

I don't agree that you need to show up at Epcot an hour before park opening to get on it. We showed up after park opening and only waited 30 minutes. It's a very busy ride, but not impossible to get on.

I just wanted to say that if you're planning on doing Epcot until your Tattoria Al Forno ADR, then there's no need or way I'd pay extra for "express transportation," it's not a long walk (or boat ride) to DHS from there or really even Epcot. Would you consider doing the Fantsmic! package, so you didn't have to worry about getting a fastpass or lining up super early for that? Not sure what time of year you're going, but I'm sure you'd be able to do and probably get fastpass for ToT. R&R & TSM is more of a gamble. What time of year are you going? -the busier the less likely you'll get those fastpasses etc.

I wished I didn't already have an ADR otherwise I would get the Fantasmic dining package. I have a ADR for Sci Fi at 6:40 for dinner as we really want to go here. What time should I arrive at HS to make sure I get a 4th FP for F! I need to figure out when to book my first FP at HS so, I can use it & book F!. We are going May 13th.

Use the My Disney Experience app on your phone to grab your 4th fastpass. You are able to get a 4th FP after you use your 3rd FP. You don't have to get any of your fastpasses at the kiosks. :)

So, you have to use all three FP before you can schedule a 4th? I thought it was after you use one you can book another one. I understand using the app. To book the 4th FP. So, what time do you suggest I have my last FP used in order to not miss out on getting a FP for F!?

No, you must use your first 3 fastpasses before you can make a 4th. But the 4th can be in another park if you want. The first 3 have to be in the same park.

KennyThePirate had an article on it where he used his 3rd fastpass at 11:50 and there wasn't much left. You'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for the info on not needing the express transportation. This is a great help!

This is very helpful. Thank you! There is a 5 for crowd level the days I am going and this looks like I would have to do it before 4pm... Have you ever used this as part of your planning? If yes has it worked for you?

I have not used it personally for my plans as my first trip is upcoming :)

But it has been referenced many times on the boards!
