If you've been to WDW with an infant, please let me know what you packed for your little one. We are going on a family trip with about 10 or 11 of us in May. My sister is bringing her (will be) 7 month old along. This will be his first trip -- and she's doing it solo. So, she needs all the help she can get! I've never taken an infant to WDW -- so I can't help her out much. I thought I'd turn to the experts. :)

Please let me (or, her, actually!) know what you needed for your little one -- and in what quantity.

Thanks, in advance!

A case or jumbo pack of diapers is always good but you can buy them at the resort if you don't want to pack that many. A pack of swim diapers is also a must. I would also bring the baby carrier and stroller so you can either wear the baby or stroll. A stroller fan is a must. You can get them at Baby Universe. It is our favorite item. Sunscreen and a good hat. A light recieving blanket or two for when the baby falls asleep in a restraunt and it is a little chilly with the AC. Any and all meds that the baby might need- tylenol, mylicon, motrin, oragel etc. Some small toys. Baby food- although you can buy it there. Hmmmm... I'll have to see what else I can think of. princess:

Thanks, Mouse House Mama!

Anyone else have any other ideas? How about clothing? How much clothing did you take for your infant -- was it too much/not enough?

I took my then 7 month ol in January. Are you renting a car? If so, buy food/diapers/throw away spoons and bowls/bottle brush/dish soap etc down there. There is a Target very close as well as several super markets.

I brought two outfits for each day as well as one pair of jammies per night. I also brought a few receving blankets, a couple of toys, and a stroller with canopy. We rented several items from A Baby's Best Friend and they were great!

The baby bag for the plane contained a couple of bottles - juice, formula, water. I also had benadryl, tylenol, and cough medicine (Caroline had a cold at the time). I brought a few outfits and some little toys. Caroline slept all but about 20 minutes of the flight. Remind your sister to either nurse or give a bottle during take off and landing (or a pacifier) to help alleviate pressure on the ears.

The last thing to remember - Disney sells EVERYTHING! If you forget something or need to replace something you will most likely find a gift shop that has more! :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful trip!

She may want to think about shipping a package to herself at the resort with the diapers, wipes, baby food and formula. These items take up lots of space in the luggage. She should also think about shipping bottled water to use in making up the formula. Babies can be sensitive to changes in water.

Also she will need to find a sun screen that is age appropriate and re-apply it often.

And, if she has a routine for putting the baby to sleep, playing a certain song or using a windup toy over the crib, she needs to bring that with. The rooms do not have tape or cd players so you have to bring one of those if you need it.

We have traveled with both kiddos as infants. We packed 2 outfits per day as well. Since we usually go in Oct- Dec, we pack shorts by day and pants by night. We bottle fed, so formula, bottles, bottle brush, dish soap and a old dish towel to let stuff dry overnight. They we threw it out at end of vacation. Baby food/snacks...cheerios in baggies, goldfish, etc. Our own pack n-play sheet from home so it was familiar and washed in our own detergent. All her soft crib animals again for familiarity. A portable DVD player for entertainment with Baby Einstein discs and her nighttime CD. A nightlight so we could see in room without putting on the lights. A plastic stroller cover for when it rains. Sunscreen, bowls, spoons. We stop a store(off site) to get baby food since Disney's selection is very small. Fine if you forget to bring a jar that day, but not for the week. We also got diapers then so we only had to pack enough for 1 day on the plane til we got to the store. Cold packs for keeping the bottles cold while at the parks if you make the bottles ahead of time. A good hat and a blanket for shading from the sun.
Have a great time... loved taking the babies to the World.

We went last may when our ds's were 9mo and 2.5yo. We had a rental car, so we only brought about 1days worth of diapers, swim diapers, wipes, formula, etc... then went to a grocery store when we got there and bought what we needed for the week. It saved lots of room. We also brought tylenol, sunscreen, a hat, a few toys. We brought 1 outfit per day, but would have brought more if we didn't have a washer/dryer. The other thing we brought that I was so thankful I remembered was a white noise machine. Both boys sleep with one at home so I'm not sure they would have slept well w/o it. We also brought our monitor b/c we were in a condo so the baby slept in a different room. Have fun!!!

Is she bottle or breastfed? If bottle, she will want to take formula & bottles. There are baby care centers at each of the parks for nursing, there are high chairs, tvs for older children. It's a nice place to go for some quiest time. All meds, diapers, wipes, swim diapers, creams, plenty of clothes, food, spoons, bibs (I like the Bibsters). Hope this helps.

Wow! We took our DS when he was 8 months and we drove. So I even brought the breast pump, baby food, case of diapers. Got the most use out of my Peanut Shell sling. Everything except...more than one paci. DS would only take one brand, I think a lot of babes are like that. Had to buy one at one of the Baby Centers in WDW and it was not cheap. Also, it was not the brand he was used to, so no dice. Had to spend two hours trying to locate one.

Thanks to all of you for the great tips! He is bottle-fed, so unfortunately she'll need to bring a lot of extra stuff. And, we're flying and staying onsite -- so we won't have a car to go buy stuff down there. She'll need to bring what she needs -- or have it shipped down there ahead of time -- thanks for the idea, Tiggerish!

Feel free to add more if you think of anything else.

Thanks, again!
