Need Help with Off-Site Issues

I am helping a friend plan a trip and they are staying off-site. I have not stayed off-site in a very long time so I am a little unclear on how to guide them. My two main questions are:

1: How do they get magic bands. They would like magic bands, but I don't know what the ordering process is like for off-site guests.

2: They are buying park tickets from undercover tourist. How do you link those with your MDE so they can reserve FP+ at 30 days out?

I can't help with #2, but magic bands can be purchased through Disney online in advance, or there are some special designs that can only be purchased at the parks. If you do it that way, they can link your cards to your bands at the time of purchase. If it were me, I'd hold out for the limited edition bands available only at the parks!

1. They can buy them online or they can wait until they get there.

2. They log into their MDE account and follow the instructions for entering their ticket numbers.

Also the only advantage of a magic band over the plastic card is that ride photos automatically add to your MDE account (so you don't need to touch the card at the monitors). Of course there is also the convenience of not having to get a ticket out a pocket/bag. But a basic magicband is $12.95 plus tax, there are nicer things you can buy!
