Need help with morning plan (driving)

Hello!
I need help from the local experts....Wed March 25th we will be driving to DLR from Carlsbad and checking into HOJO. The park opens at 9:00. I need to find HOJO(!), park, check-in and get over to DL. That's a lot to squeeze into the morning but checking in the night before is not an option.

So, realistically, when do I need to leave Carlsbad to make this happen? I know traffic is a big unknown.

uuuhhhh...like watching the sunrise first hand, getting up with the chickens, getting up at the crack of dawn ring a bell???

Grew up in North County and driving to Disneyland with the family was an *early morning* experience. The exact time I would have to say 4 or 5am out the door in the car and rumbling down the interstate. That would allow you enough time to find HOJO, get the gate before the cattle call and latter in the afternoon go back to hotel and nap. Hope that helps.

Well I have no clue when to leave there but finding HoJo won't be hard at all, you can check in but your room won't be ready. They will give you a parking pass tho so you can park and then walk to the parks.
