Need help with iron on transfer paper from ebay

Help please! I got my iron on transfer sheets from the place on ebay that I read about here. It says to print on the side of paper with the green stripe, which I did. . .but it didn't work. . can anyone give a total crafting idiot help with this?

I just have one question.... did it say to print on the stripe side, or make sure NOT to print on the stripe side? I know its a silly question, but you'd be surprised that your brain swears it saw one thing, when it really says another. That's the only thing I can think of. Mine worked great from Ebay, but I didn't save the directions to check for you. Maybe one of our other gurus can help too.

no I'm SURE it said to print ON the green stripe side because I tried it the other way before reading the directions. Then went back and read the directions. Now I can't FIND the directions.

Ok directions say. . .
cut image to size
oreheat press to 390 to 400 (is this high or what?)
place shirt on platen and press lightly to remove wrinkles and moisture (platen? what is this?)
place image on shirt
lightly press for 38 to 50 seconds

then what? and can this be done with an iron? I am SO not good with my hands!
