Need help with Homestead Florida

I know this is the Orlando Hotels and Attractions, but I don't know where else to post.

I am a person that makes early plans. I am looking for a decent place to stay in November when we attend the Nascar race in Homestead. We want to drive down to the Keys on Friday, but stay around the Homestead area Fri, Sat. & Sunday nite. I don't mind paying around $200 a nite. I don't want to be near Miami, I'd rather be East or south of Homestead. Does anyone have any recommendations?
