Need help with Grocery Budget...

Having a hard time financially right now and have fallen off Atkins BIGTIME, and really want to get back on, problem is that I have a limit budget to work with... so here is the challenge. Help make me a grocery list/menu working with a grand total of $60.00 a week or less or $240.00 monthly.

Need simple lunch or dinner ideas, one or the other since we work overnights and lunch is ussually eaten in the middle of the night or packed and taken to work or done with a short amount of time.

We are open to all foods, the only food I don't eat is celery... :earboy2:

I wish I had better ideas, but I've been doing some thinking. If you buy cheese, don't buy pre-sliced or grated - you can do that yourself.

Buy large quantities (at bulk supply stores) of chicken leg quarters - they're the cheapest and bake up really well. Also, buy whole chickens and cut them up yourself. You get a little bit of everything and can make a few meals. Chicken breasts baked (meal one) leg quarters baked or fried (meal two) soup with the rest of the bones & meat (meal three!).

Skip the fancy napkins, expensive paper towels and get rid of paper plates & cups. You throw them away when you can wash the regular plates you've already paid for.

Buy your snacks in large quantities, nuts & such. Don't buy too many brand name snacks. Where I shop, you can get generic pork rinds & nuts without a problem. Also, rather than Atkins bread, go a slightly higher carb bread.....it's cheaper and tastier!

Buy sugar free chocolates and ice-creams as a treat....they are expensive. Don't buy pre-made sugar free jello. It's MUCH cheaper to make. Eat more eggs and less low-carb cereal for b'fast.
