Need help with Granite?

We are redoing our kitchen counters and would like granite. I am having a difficult time decided what to get. The cabinets are maple colored, the center island is black. The floors are light brown tile(neutral). The kitchen will be painted in Benjamin Moore Jackson Tan.
I know I do not want solid black or uba tuba. I want the counters to be the center of attention.

The rest of my house is various shades of taupe,browns,burgandy and greens.

If you have maple cabinets what color is your granite? Pics would be awesome.

My kitchen counters are light gray granite flecked with white, black and darker gray. Cabinets are maple, floor is same color laminate (looks like real wood but easier to keep clean) and the appliances are black. The kitchen looks larger than it is because it opens onto the family room. It's kind of a galley-style kitchen, with a slight elbow-bend at one end of the counters. Although I don't cook much, DD#2, who stays with me when DH is out of town working, is an excellent and creative cook who wants to transplant my kitchen to her house. Sorry I don't have any photos to post - you'll have to use your imagination.

My kitchen has neutral beige tile, maple cabinets, stainless and black appliances and Tan Brown (it needs a better name!) granite. It looks fantastic, and I love the way the colors work together. Here's a color sample:

I have Juperanga St Cecelia (spelling?). I also have similar colors to you in my kitchen and the rest of the house.
It looks really good together and my slabs have lots of wine colored flecks that I was told are reffered to as "berries".
