Hi All,
We are starting to plan our 2016 trip and I was hoping I could get a little help.
We were originally thinking about the week immediately following Thanksgiving: Sunday Nov 27 - Saturday Dec 3. We'd like to see all of the Christmas decorations but not deal with the heavy crowds that come later in the month.
After looking over work and school schedules, it would be a lot better for us if we could switch to the next full week, the first week in December... Sunday Dec 4 - Saturday Dec 10.
My concern is the crowds... I know that these two weeks have been deemed "slower" times in the past, but I know "slower" is a relative term lately.
I know that Pop Warner and Cheerleading are there during that first full week, but we would be staying at Wilderness Lodge so we would miss any of those factors at our resort. Do they add any significant impact to the parks?
Also, we'd like to do MVMCP and after seeing that this week's parties have sold out this year, it's making me a little nervous!
Bit of backgroud: Family of 4; Myself, DH, DS7 and DD4. This will be our 5th trip to WDW but all of those trips have been in September. We've always chosen September because of the crowd level. DH isn't a fan of crowds, so getting the slower week of the 2 options, if there is one, is important to us.
This will be our first, and probably only, trip during the holidays and I'd really like to make the most of it and have it be enjoyable for all of us.
I guess my main question is if there is much of a difference in the crows levels between those two weeks where it would be worth the extra bit of scheduling to try to avoid more crowds during that first full week in December, and go right after Thanksgiving.
Thanks!
