I have a ressie with AAA BC STD with plan. Checked to see if there was any advantage to booking with code but all STD rooms are sold out-WV would be $2000 for 10 days more than what I am paying now. Should they not just be able to take my current reservations (which are now paid in full-45 day WDTC rules) and apply the code to my existing BC STD room?

When they release codes, it's for a certain number of available rooms and in some instances only at certain resorts. If, for instance, they allot 20 rooms at each resort for a particular discount, then when those 20 rooms are booked, the discount is no longer available. It's all based on occupancy levels. If they aren't booking enough rooms, they release discounts. If they are, they don't. That's why sometimes you see no availability at all at some resorts or for some types of rooms.

That's why I always say that unless you're going to stay at a certain resort no matter what happens with discounts, it makes no sense to book it until the discount comes out.

We are already paid in full-but it would be alright if I could apply a code to the existing ressie!

I agree, it would be nice if you could just book a room, then be guaranteed that you could get a discount code because you already have the room booked or even paid for. But then again, I understand why that isn't the way it works.

I'm pretty impressed that they allow us to apply codes to existing reservations at all. They only put out these codes because they aren't getting the number of reservations they want. If I've already booked or paid for my room, I'm not really who they're targeting.

Mom Rules,

Try all the codes CZF, AXA, AXB and if you have a DC card use ZXEI that saved me even more over the AXB.

Good Luck!

Lyn

Got a great CM-I would be able to get code rate on my ressie but because I'm already paid (45 day rule) for I would be subject to the change fee on my ressie-I already have AAA vacations rate and the new rate would have saved $45 but cost me more to switch it. I stayed with what I have which is about 10% off rack $. Thanks for all your help guys. I feel better now.
