Here's our situation:

Parents taking a cruise out of Miami. When they get back, Dad is staying in Miami 3 days to see a Dolphins football game. Rather than have Mom blow off 3 days, I'm going to fly to Orlando and she's going to meet me there. We get to go to Disney World, yeah!

Anyway, dates are set in stone b/c of the cruise. I want to book a hotel room at the Pop now, but have some questions:

1. If Dad can't get tickets to game, can I cancel the room and get a refund?
2. I have an AP, but the AP rate isn't out yet. Can I have it applied later on when it does come out?
3. I know we'll be there 3 days, but I'm thinking about coming down a day or two earlier. Is it better to book MORE days or LESS (ie. should I just book 3 days now and add on later OR should I book 5 days now and subtract if needed???)

All help is appeciated - not sure what to do right now! Thanks in advance!

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Yes, you can cancel the room and get a refund. For a room only reservation, I believe you have to call five days out. You can confirm that when you book.

2. Yes, you can apply an AP rate at a later time if it is available.

3. I prefer to book my entire stay at once. If you know there is a good chance you'll be staying for five nights, than book the five nights. I personally wouldn't want to run the risk of the resort I want selling out for some or all of the nights.

I wouldn't want there to not be any rooms available in the resort I want. Or (even worse) have the rate go up because I didn't book enough days.

I'm thinking 5 days, b/c then I'd get two on my own.

Anyone know if we can still use Magical Express if we arrive at 2 different times?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, you can use Magical Express even if you have two different travel times--I know of a couple of people who had done this.
