Hi

Ok I have no clue as to a theme of my wedding!

Colours: blush pink and silver
Would like to incorporate mickeys head in it somewhere, i like the boxes someone on here made think it was kellysomeone!
I am also looking at having the reception at ariels and our ceremony at WP

I first thought of having the carriages as centrepieces as I want the whole fairytale look but these dont really fit in at ariels.
Any help you can give would be great

You could always do a little mermaid/under the sea type wedding or a beach theme. For the mickey's you can do hidden mickeys on things, that way it is subtle but still there.

Orangetiggs, you honestly don't need a theme, so if you can't come up with one, please don't worry about it. My vow renewal didn't have a "theme" and yet my guests still had a wonderful time. Remember, weddings and vow renewals are simply about sharing your love with those who are important to you. Anything else is icing on the cake.

However, if you really want a theme, please discuss it with the FTW folks. They're filled with all sorts of wonderful ideas and would be happy to share them with you. Don't ever be afraid to ask them for help.

As to adding Disney touches to an event, my vow renewal had a couple of small touches and one big touch. Here are some photos that show this (click on the following links):

Surprise Chapeaus (Mickey Mouse Ears)
Bouquets (Hidden Mickey’s)
Bouquet Close-Up
Boutonnière (Hidden Mickey’s)
Place Card (Mickey Krispie Treat)
Mini-Cake (Mickey Mouse Ears and Hidden Mickey’s)
Surprise Guest (Sorcerer Mickey)

Have fun planning -- and congratulations on your upcoming marriage. I wish you all the happiness in the world.

I definitely struggled with the same thing as you. Here is a post when I asked a similar question http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1401862&referrerid=&highlight=wedding+theme.

When I went for my planning session last week I still wasn't decided on a theme. In the end my coordinator and the florist helped out a lot. Since I was going for pastels and wanted spring flowers we went the directions of a garden wedding. My invitations, decorations, etc. are pretty formal, but my cake and some of the items at the reception are going to have a Mickey touch. We are doing Mickey chocolate favors and my cake is going to have hidden Mickeys with the castle topper. At night for our dessert party, since we aren't having kids for the ceremony or brunch, we are having more fun and using figment in our decoration because the kids will be joining everyone at this point.

Of course our guests bags and our newsletter all have tons of Disney touches.

I've learned you don't necessarily have to have one theme throughout the entire event! :cool1:

I really struggled with a theme so in the end i just went with my pink and gold colours and a hidden mickey theme!

I had my invites made with hidden mickeys on them, with matching table names. I had mickey heads on my cake and i had chocolate mickey head place cards. My colours worked really well as i had my reception at the Boardwalk and their colours are soft pink.

Fantasia Sam had her reception at Ariels and she most definately had a pink theme! I think even her dress was pink! Not sure if she is around here much but check out her TR its awesome and has some fab photos in it!

I cant seem to find her trip report anywhere, do you know what the link is?
