My husband has been in the hospital all week. He was just diagnosed with Crohn's disease. According to the dietician he should have no fiber, nuts, seeds, etc. He has also been diabetic since he was 2. We now have 2 diets to balance. Does anyone have any kid friendly recipes I could try. He may be coming home tomorrow, and I am so unprepared.

which I rarely eat anyways. So I asked him about this and he said it makes no differences what I eat. If it's going to flare up it will do it regardless. I can understand the dietitian wouldn't want him to eat food with high fiber because that would cause more frequent bowel movements which is not usually something someone with Crohn's disease needs!
But what I'm saying is I would focus more on the diabetes restrictions and not worry too much about a diet with Crohn's. As long as he's on medication or steroids preventing flare ups he should be okay, he will notice a huge difference immediately after starting the medication! I did anyways.. This is all based on personal experience and what I've been told by my gastrointestinologist, everyone is different.
