What do you put down on an application if you were a stay a home parent for a few years but are getting into the work force again? The application asks for periods of unemployment longer than 30 days.

Any Ideas?

Just that...a stay a home parent

I don't know if you can put that down as "employment". If there's a void in your work experience, they'll ask at the interview and then you can tell them.

I know you usually don't put down unemployment but this application is weird. It asks for all job history and to put down in the job history area for any unemployment longer than 30 days. Crazy company

sorry, I misread your first post. I would put down "homemaker' and the dates under the "unemployment" section

I would do exactly what they are asking. They are asking for periods of when you were not employed, and that would include the time you were a stay at home parent.
